Horrible. Horrible, Horrible. We were told there would be "no problem" from the beginning, but that is all we got. still not working properly after completion of work--just continued issues that they are requiring more $$--even though worked FINE before they disconnected, moved and "re-connected" the equipment--citing "normal wear and tear" Had little problems with their normal weekly cleaning service--but DO NOT HIRE them to DO ANY work on your equipment--they only have one guy to perform the work--who does NOT know what he is doing.

Scope of work was expanded.
The filters were damaged and had to replace all the filters and the manifold in the pool filteration pod.
The work was done but took way to long and too many trips.
They worked us in but they had more work than qualified personnel to cover the work.
Overall, did not like the final product and was not happy which is why I will not use them again.
Thought I had written a review previously and thus the very late review.

They were supposed to clean the pool system for the first time of the season in one visit.
Day oone they filters got cleaned and that went well. They left and did not clean the pool so we caled and a crew was scheduled to clean the next day. The next day a man showed up and and quot;cleanedand quot; the pool. Dirt was left on the bottom of the pool and hot tub. There was a piece of styrofoam floating on the water for about a week before the cleaning and it wasstill there after the cleaning.

I needed my pool really clean to put it on the market. They were friendly and professional on the phone, came promptly and did a great job. I have subsequently called them to service my in-floor pool cleaner and was very pleased with the work. I have gone through so many pool companies that have been unprofessional and done incomplete work plus charged a lot. It is finally nice to have a company that I look forward to calling.

The owner was really on top of the workers. The workers knew what they were doing and the work improved the drainage issues I was having. I would recommend them.

Fantastic! He spent about 45 minutes and it worked. I had been told by another company that the system was not repairable and would have to be replaced at the cost of $1000.00. I decided to get a second opinion at that cost. Boy, was I glad that I did. He contacted the manufacturer and fixed the problem. So happy!

Performed Filter Maintenance, cleaning and made some recommendations. They said the pool did not require cleaning, so they did not perform that service.

It went really well. The guy was really good. I had two problems and he was able to correct them, he was very knowledgeable. They did not try to sell me services and were extremely honest. Very good work!

It was really excellent. I paid them about $230 for the additional work they did. I didn't know anything about the pool and these people were incredibly nice to me. They pretty much told me how to take care of it and the proper equipment, like an automatic cleaner that I can buy. They told me that would be good for my pool because I have old fiberglass pool and I only have one skimmer and one return. They told me the proper thing to buy for it, I did, I tried it out last week and it worked really well. They went and above their call of duty. They were very, very kind to me and they made sure that I understood what I needed to do to take care of the pool and they told me to call them back if I needed something else. They were just super nice people. I did not want to spend so much on my pool but I felt like I got my money's worth.

He did some trouble shooting on the leak; identified it and repaired it. He also took a look at my polaris 380 and reattached the belt on the pulleys which is why the cleaner was not moving. Unfortunately he broke a few small pieces of plastic as they were brittle due to age. The polaris was in the pool when we bought the house and I'm guessing it is close to 10-12 years old and needs replacing. The repairman did say that the older polaris 280 was a more reliable design and is probably what I'll replace it with.

Overall, the transaction was smooth. The additional cost was unexpected, but the pool was a petri dish, so I had no problem fixing it.

Used Monster for major pool remodeling and equipment repair. Low bidder. Excellent workmanship on the pool remodeling itself. Strong knowledge on pool construction and maintenance. Somewhat weaker in areas of work schedule communication, equipment repair and minimizing damage to surrounding landscape.
Haven't used for routine pool maintenance so cannot discuss performance in that area.
All-in-all they're definitely worth consideration for pool construction work. Found them extremely courteous and would definitely use them again.

They did a good job. I don't know that I can tell anything particularly that stands out in one way or the other. The workers were very nice.

I called them based on the reviews to diagnose a problem that my pool had. The ownerand acute;s son came the same day at noon, very nice, very professional, he knew right away what it was and told the bad news about it!!! :-(, I had Efflorescence and that is not fixable. (Other people came before and made me spent hundreds of dollars to fix it but every week was worse.....) He was very honest and HE DID NOT CHARGE ME FOR THE VISIT OR ANYTHING! Therefore, I am waiting to have the money complete to re-plaster my pool floor and for sure I will call Monster to do it.

Update (November 2011): I have decided to update my review based upon new circumstances. I cancelled all monthly pool service including yearly maintenance service in August 2011. I am only speaking about my experience with Monster, so I can't speak for anyone else.
Apparently it was too much of an issue for Monster to efficiently clean my pool weekly, and apparently, leaves in the pool are an issue for them. I have a pool surrounded by tall pine trees, and yes, leaves do get into the pool. That is what I pay them to do: clean the pool, including cleaning out any leaves. Well, for some unknown, odd, and weird reason, in early August, 2011, one of their technicians, while I was at home, came to service the pool, and apparently was upset, angry, disturbed, etc. about something, and decided that my pool had too many leaves in it for her to clean. Yes really. So what she did was that she secretly took 3 pictures of my pool with some leaves in it, then went back to the home office and told her boss what a bad person I was or something similar to this. Then the boss person sends me a WEIRD letter, full of misspellings and just plain weirdness, with copies of the 3 pictures of the pool with leaves, explaining that basically, they would have to charge me more money for the more chemicals they would need to clean the pool adequately. I could not believe this weirdness. They are a pool company, that I hired to clean the pool. Leaves in the pool are a common problem among many pools. You do NOT take secret photos of someone's property, while the owner of that property is at home, and then, send through the US Mail, the owner of that property, pictures of his own property, with a note basically saying that and quot;here's your problem pool, unless you resolve the leaves situation, we're going to charge you more.and quot; I could not believe it.
So I sent them back a letter, explaining my dissatisfaction with what has occurred, and yes about the leaves. And I cancelled all service. And now I have another great pool servicing company.
So fast forward Thanksgiving (Nov 2011). A few days after Thanksgiving I received a phone message while I was on vacation, from one of the office people there who said, one of their technicians had been on my property for an annual maintenance checkup and they noticed a leak in the filter, and so, her message to me, was that, I had better tell my new pool service company about the leak.
Well, I guess I had better put my foot down. So I called her back up and told her: I cancelled all service with you guys a few months ago, so why o why, did you randomly decide to come over to my place for an annual maintenance checkup? I then gave her notice that if anyone from Monster pools comes on my property, I would call the police, or rather, handle the situation myself on my property. It was that bad, at least for me.This entire experience with this pool company was just plain, old WEIRD. Maybe their forte is BUILDING new pools/patios, etc. And yes the owner and his father are great people, but I think there are issues with communication (?) and policy (?) with their technicians. YOU DON'T EVER TAKE SECRET PHOTOS OF SOMEONEand quot;S PROPERTY AND THEN SEND THEM THROUGH THE MAIL BACK TO THAT SOMEONE. If you have a problem, if you have an issue, then talk to the CUSTOMER while you, the technician, is ON the CUSTOMER's property. I mean, how hard is that.

I use Monster for weekly pool service and also have asked them for estimates on repairs and modifications to deck. (I myself have very little time to work on and service my pool.)I can't say enough good things about Monster.
They are on time, they do great work and take the time to explain various details about keeping the pool in top shape. Not many can or will take the time to stop and help you really understand your pool investment. They pointed out a few things that the previous pool guys didn't do, or was done incorrectly which saved me time and money.
MoThese guys are experts. I highly recommend them. Friendly, knowledgable, and more.

D*** rats had invaded my pool heater, made a meal out of several electric cables and attempted to fill it with their faeces. It was five years old and had played up a couple of times in the last two years, so I had discussion with Daniel (owner) about replacing or repairing the heater. He did not put me under any pressure but made some reasonable points that convinced me to replace the heater. Zach came out the following morning, on time to remove the old heater and install the new heater, initially with some help from Daniel. The heater was installed by the end of the day and a couple of other minor repairs were performed. I was satisfied with the standard of work and both Daniel and Zach's professionalism and I think the price was reasonable. On the downside, the clean up wasn't great and a pipe to the pool cleaner pump was cracked when they moved the heater into position. The cracked hard pipe was replaced with a flexible hose that is bent at the center with a kink that is not ideal. I am sure they would insist that the kinked hose would have no detrimental effect on the pool cleaner performance, so to my shame I took the path of least resistance and did not complain. Furthermore, Zach was very patient and did not seem to get irritated by me snooping about checking on his progress and asking him numerous pool equipment questions. I have used Monster Pools before and will use them again.
