Everything went very smoothly.

On March 20, 2014 (Thursday), my husband and I drove to Spring, TX for a scheduled 11:00 appointment to take a look at sheds, and were really impressed with the buildings at Mega Storage Sheds. Katrina greeted us professionally and we decided this was where we would purchase our building. She answered our questions but when asked how we could get started with the application for financing, instead of taking us into the office to fill out the paperwork, she told us she would e-mail the application to us and asked for my e-mail address. She told us that this company's approvals were on a case-by-case basis and it was hard to say if it would be approved. This was around 11:30 in the morning and by that night, we still hadn't received the e-mail. I then sent an e-mail to her through the website letting her know that we still hadn't received the application and reassured her that we would purchase the building and pay cash if financing wasn't approved. She then e-mailed the application to us around 9:30 p.m. We were anxious to get started with the building process. I returned the application to her by e-mail the following morning with a couple of questions included in the body of the e-mail. No response. The next day (Saturday), I e-mailed her again to check on the status of the application and let her know that either way, we wanted to use their company to build this shed for us and that we were just waiting on her to get the ball rolling. No response from her until the following Tuesday (3/25/14), with an e-mail stating she hadn't heard anything from the finance company yet and that she would check on it when she got back in the office that afternoon. We haven't heard from her since and have purchased the building from another company at a lower price. At least something good came out of this experience that completely wasted a week and a half of our time. I subscribe to a credit monitoring service and I am able to check my credit report as needed. There was nothing new there other than an inquiry for a new credit card that I applied for several days later. So she never submitted the application and what was that all about? The color of our skin perhaps since it couldn't have been about anything else. We were dressed nice and drove there in an expensive car, so no reason to think we didn't have the money. Not everyone is welcome at this business.



Update: Today, three days after submitting this review, I received a call from the finance company. It has been two weeks since I returned the application. What a coincidence.

The crew and shed completely exceeded by expectations. I scheduled the job in about a week. The website is very informative. The 2 men arrived around 8:30 a.m. The lead builder is very skilled. They use all real lumber - this is not a wood kit! Everything is built from scratch. The way they make efficient use of the material is amazing. They finished the job around 4:30 p.m. and left the job site spotless. The next day, we painted the shed with 2 gallons of exterior latex paint.
I was originally going to buy a pre-fab plastic shed, but I am so glad that I went with a shed that was built on site. Not only was this cheaper, but it is sturdy and well made. It will last for years.

Contacted Katrina about two weeks ago to ask questions. Their website is quite complete so I didn't have many outstanding questions. I visited their site to look at example of the sheds to get a feel for the sizes and styles. I'm glad I did, because its hard to really get a feel for sizes by just looking at photos.
She responds to email quite quickly, usually within a couple hours.
I scheduled construction for about a week out. They arrived about 9am. I went over the plans and details with the foreman. They finished at about 6:30 pm.
They did a great job and met all my expectations, not to mention that the price is very competitive.
