It is great to know I can count on McKay's to do the job right.

Scott, at McKay's, took his time to explain the problem with me, what would happen if the problem was left unrepaired, and explained the repair process to me. I really appreciated the time he took answering all my questions. The repair took a little longer then anticipated, but they did a great job keeping me informed of the progress.

My car was towed there on Friday mid-afternoon-- by late afternoon I had 2 calls- advice and my car was repaired without them trying to sell me a kitchen sink.
The Manager took my calls, was extremely respectful and helpful without being obsequious.

They were prompt and replaced the battery quickly. However, this company is known for adding on additional charges and offering to do additional work that is not necessary. My wife told them that the battery likely needed to be replaced. If it was not the battery, then perhaps the alternator needed to be replaced. The company charged my wife $50 to diagnose what was wrong with the van. If my wife who knows practically nothing about cars knows what is wrong with the car, the mechanic should not be charging $50 to make a diagnoses that takes less than five minutes. The charge was not applied to replacing the battery. In the end, my wife walked out with a bill over $300 to replace a battery. What a rip off.
I also talked to some of the employees with McKay's took over Freedom Automotive on the intersection of Paloma and Gosling. He warned me before he quit that McKay's has a reputation for overcharging and recommending services for cars that are unnecessary to inflate the bill. Don't use this company unless you have to as in the case of my wife.

We have been using McKay's for the past 10 years with all of our vehicles. They are wonderful to work with and take care of all our vehicle needs. We have two vehicles over 200k and they are still running great. We will continue to return to McKay's.

Brandon provided very professional service. Realistic time estimate and delivered on time. I am new in this area, and this will be my mechanic for my three cars.

Every now and then, there is a hiccup. Overall, I am very pleased with them. They are honest and do good work. I've had a relationship with them for so long that I trust them with my cars.

I was happy with them. I like their service. They actually made a mistake when they did a job. They bent over backwards to correct it and make sure it was right. Then they followed up a few days later to make sure everything was still good. I was satisfied with them.
