They came over, took our money and never performed the work they were hired to do which was build the decking around our new pool and pour concrete for our expansion on porch. We ended up finding out that they have scammed many other couples out of their money over the last few months and yrs so we filed a lawsuit against their company and them individually.??

He wrote us an email saying that he was not going to be able to finish the job.  I wrote him an email saying that I expect to get a refund and I have not heard from him yet.  He was suppose to enlarge our shower in our master bathroom which would be going into the closet.  He has started on the closet but has not finished the project.  He has left the closet with just drywall.  He also put the wrong type of tile backing in our shower.  The shower is left with no tile and has done some plumbing but has not finished it.  In our kitchen, we contracted with him for countertops which he sub contracted out.  He did come in and put in backsplash.  He was also suppose to do some carpentry work in the kitchen and he has not even started that.  He was also suppose to do a home addition, but he will not be doing that now.  He did remodel the ceiling above our kitchen island and we actually had to have that work redone because it was not quality work.  In the contract he was suppose to remove all the trash and my husband has actually had to remove all the trash.  We actually still have some trash on our patio.  He wanted to park his trailer in our driveway even though no one had been using it for one month.  I eventually told him I would charge him for rent for parking it and he finally moved it.

Sometimes a company is best judged not only on the work they do but how they respond to a problem. I was pregnant with our 4th child so we needed work doing to our 5th bedroom which was very plain. That room was not on the original floorplan so had not been 'designed' and lacked functionality and finishing touches. We wanted it to look like the other bedrooms. John (owner) came out to measure and provide a quote. He is British but has lived in the US for years. He is a father to a young child and my own son was very taken with him! We arranged for work to start in 2 weeks time. John & Abe (worker) arrived on time at 8:30am. They constructed a long closet with folding doors (we provided) included wire shelving. They put up the molding and chair rail including around 3 windows - all matched to the existing design in the other rooms. Added an electrical socket, and a ceiling fan (we provided) inc. wiring down to the wall switch. John always asked if he was uncertain how we wanted something. They tidied up every day and were very mindful that we had young children. They left, with my permission, tools in my garage overnight. We needed carpet and underlay mat too as the room had laminate flooring. John arranged for a 3rd party (Charles Pyle at Color Interiors Floor Center) to remeasure the room and take a swatch from another bedroom's closet so it could be matched to the existing carpet in the house. Mr Pyle returned to my house within 2 days and showed me the carpet that best matched and it was ordered, to be fitted the following week. My husband painted the room over the weekend, and the carpet was delivered on time and installed by Color Interiors - it was the WRONG color! I was never asked to check it before installation! And it was totally the wrong color - dark blue not ubiqitious texas beige! I called Sarah at McGowan and she was immediately responsive. They owned the problem all the way through to resolution. She spoke with Interior Colors who contacted me directly to apologize profusely. The Color Interiors fitter has not followed company protocol of asking the homeowner to check the carpet before installation. The wrong color had either been ordered (by CI) or delivered (by their provider in Atlanta). Charles at Color Interiors was very apologetic too. Anyway, the right color was immediately rush ordered, and it was replaced within a week. Sarah at McGowan kept me informed every step of the way, and handled the situation well. In addition we had a leak when it rained from a certain direction. John has experience as a roofer so he recommended sealing the roofline and sealing around three 2nd storey windows. We've not had any water ingress since. Overall a job well done, the bedroom looks great and you would never know it wasn't done at the time of the original build.
