Work went poorly from the start. One experienced wall painter and one helper worked mostly unsupervised. Owner did not provide promised estimates, or proper invoices for draw requests. Owner (specialty painter) did not do any of the work, even where his skills were required for details, and he did not supervise his crew. Promised faux painting sample boards were never provided. Painters did not properly prep raw wood, or take professional precautions such as use of drop cloths, or masking tape, to avoid over painting trim and preventing spills or drips from getting on floors, fixtures and walls and trim that were not being painted. Painted pantry the wrong color. Work was to take 2 weeks and they were still working after week 6. Painters would show up late, leave early or not show up at all. Owner refused to finish job to professional standards and job was terminated without final payment.
