"Customer scammed me at the end deducting over $800. My choice was either file a mechanic's lien or just let it go. I chose the later."
Did not remove old tile adhesive. New tile floor is uneven
Chose to touch up kitchen cabinets with spray on poly. This ruined the cabinet finish. You can see everywhere it was sprayed
Did not finish the crown molding installation. I had to finish this myself
Did not complete the paint. Multiple spots on cabinets and unfinished on the wall.
Bathroom Remodel
Poor texture and painting. We had to ask him to redo this several times.
The overall result of this room is very nice.
Living Room
Did not install custom cabinets and floating shelves as agreed in to and paid for in the budget. I had to do this myself.
The "finished" wall tile has adhesive all over it.
Installed Floor Tile
Everything went as expected
Driveway and Patio
Tried to finish the job with bagged concrete. The result is very uneven and patchy
Installed patio concrete right before it rained. The result was very uneven. He tried to fix it with a white patch that got all over existing patio. He fixed this by painting the entire patio with concrete paint
He wrote a bad check to the concrete company and they came after us for payment and threatened a lein. It took multiple weeks to get him to pay the concrete company.
Chunks of concrete are breaking off at the bottom of the step.
Overall
The project is finished and looks like someone with very little experience did it.
Financial
We paid him a $3400 for the purchase of the granite and his "granite guy" couldn't do the job for several weeks and we discovered that the actual cost of the granite was $2100. We chose to go with a different company for a total of $3800. The contractor paid me back with two checks that the account was closed on. He also owes me $1200 for work explained above that he did not complete.
"This is a false review."
"It is a pleasure to work in a spotless home. It is a great treat to work for someone as energetic and detail oriented and creative as this client."
