This is how it went: The HVAC unit was a Goodman brand, installed in a new house in 2013, Houston TX. 5 Ton. The coil was broken in 2017, had to replace it. This year 2021 the condenser had leaks EVERYWHERE!. This was installed in a new built home. My husband passed away in a very sudden way 2 days before the day of the closing of the house back in 2013, and I had no time or clear head to learn about warranties. The crooked contractor at JDS David Sanabria never registered the unit under my name, and therefore when the piece of garbage broke this year I could not claim any warranty. He never provided the actual price that he paid to the manufacturer for the unit. The unit was very poor quality and JDS was never honest about the warranty, specially in the sad situation I was. Now I have learned the hard way that manufacturers and service companies are all a big mafia favored by Texan laws to screw home owners. All the supposed good reviews in other websites about this company are for sure BS. Save yourself aggravation and stay away from this company!.
