Jerry does quality work for a reasonable price.Since he primarily works with a helper, communications are very good and changes/recommendations are handled in an efficient manner.Jerry's work schedule is always known in advance and the presents of the home owner is not necessary.

Jerry is an excellent contractor. He is very proud of his work and wants to the job to the best of his ability. When faced with new situation he patiently studies the problem and learns how to do it. He was punctual and his prices were fair. He gave us good objective advice whenever need. Before starting new parts or when a change was needed he always gave us an accurate estimate of extra expenses.

We would have no hesitation in using his services again or recommending him to others.

He always let us know ahead of time about any potential extra fees that may be charged because of dealing with unexpected hidden structural problems. Hired Jand D Construction based on fair priced estimate. Jerry Swink came ready to work at 8AM sharp everyday. Performed work himself with a helper, which gave us confidence. Jerry is efficient and professional. We would not hesitate to refer Jand D Construction and will call him first for our next project.

We decided to have Jerry remodel our master bathroom because I noticed from previous reviews that people kept coming back to Jerry to do various projects which in my mind meant that he not only did good work but he was someone you can trust. He gave us a reasonable estimate and there were no surprises with the final bill. I have to say I am so glad Jerry worked on our bathroom because it looks great. Both Jerry and Steven were extremely courteous, friendly and punctual. I wish there were more contractors like them because I appreciated the suggestions he made throughout the entire project. If we had an idea he would be honest to let us know whether or not it would work. Our bathroom had some major water damage but they had no problems replacing the floor boards and drain as they stayed on schedule. Their skill and knowledge shows in the quality of their work. They don't spread themselves thin by juggling multiple projects. Jerry and Steve were a pleasure to work with which is also a plus. Jerry was very patient with our schedules as at times we weren't readily available by phone, he would email us or leave us a detailed message to keep us up to date with their progress or to answer any questions we had for them. I also appreciate his honesty and his thoroughness. Jerry and Steve- Thank you so much for all of the hard work you put in to making our bathroom look beautiful. We really enjoyed working with you and look forward to working with you on future projects.

Jerry and his assistant Steven were very trustworthy, friendly, reliable, punctual and reasonable with their prices. They did everything we asked and a little extra. They answered every question and per request they informed us any time there would be an extra cost due to unforeseen problems, such as a floorboard having to be replaced because it had rotted. We have received many compliments from family, friends, neighbors, and our realtor on the bathroom work. We would recommend them to any of my friends and family, and for future projects they will be our first and only choice.

Individual who would use this bathroom is confined to a wheelchair. Both space and convenience was required to make room for his chair, enable him to get legs under the sink and protect lower walls from scratching/gouging by chair. Removed old cabinet and sink,moved plumbing and installed wide, cantilevered sink which was European manufacture presenting unexpected problems with mounting on wall. Had to move plumbing so it could be enclosed in the porcelain cover to hide pipes since area is now open. Removal of tub-surround brought a few surprises like several mummified rats that had nested in the wall at some time in the distant past. Jerry and his helper solved both problems with aplomb and good humor. Toilet purchased for both appearance and handicapped height did not fit floor drain so had to be replaced. Fortunately it could be used in the master bathroom which Jerry installed with no trouble. Tile work in shower - floor to ceiling - was meticulous, as was diagonally set floor tiles and the wainscotting with trim. Jerry picked up fixtures and tile from suppliers, was always punctual, very neat in daily clean-up, completed the job on time in spite of problems,and they were friendly and easy to deal with, plus they had a nice sense of humor which is always appreciated. I will gladly add his name to the list of construction contractor recommendations for our retirement area.

Jerry was one of a few contractors we interviewed for a complete remodeling of our master bathroom. From the start he impressed us with his attentive listening skills and punctuality. Jerry is a perfectionist, and everything we asked for, was done in detail. He had wonderful suggestions and I could trust that he would give me his honest opinion when I was in doubt. Our home was always left clean at night and we could still sleep in our master bedroom every night. His workers were always respectful and non intrusive. At the end of the project, my family missed seeing Jerry and his crew every day. I would highly recommend Jerry for a remodeling project and he would be the first person I call on my next renovation project.

What do you get when you combine good taste, skill, and impeccable attention to detail, with preparation and responsibility…Jerry Swink. We hired Jerry 15 years ago to remodel our new home (replacing 20 windows, interior wall modifications, lighting, building and installing custom bookshelves and cabinetry, many linear feet of intricate tile work, appliances, etc) He had six weeks, and six weeks was all it took. By the way, with the exception of heavy lifting and painting he does all the work himself. We moved in on schedule and happy. At the time, I had never hired a contractor. Jerry walked me through all the proper ways to sign off on work and keep my books in order for tax purposes. He ALWAYS showed up daily and when he said he would. My home was ALWAYS in order at the end of the day. And, his work was ALWAYS of superior quality. Recently (14 years later) we needed additional cabinetry work. Television styles have changed in the last decade. Jerry designed, completed and installed a custom built-in that he adapted to his previous work. It looks like it was always there. From concept to installation took ten days! I am glad I hired Jerry the first time, and delighted to have done it again. I wouldn’t use anyone else in the future.

Our overall experience with Jerry and Jand D Construction was extremely positive. We were very happy with the work he and his workers did on our bathroom remodel. From start to finish Jerry made sure we were comfortable with all the details of the job. Our bathroom turned out exactly the way we wanted it to and we would definitely reccommend Jand D Construction not only for bathroom remodels but any other remodeling jobs as well.

Jerry was fantastic from start to finish! His initial visit was very informative and set our minds at ease. He was very knowledgable and helped us in the design and layout of the bathroom, and gave us some great ideas that we hadnt thought of. The project started on the day he stated it would and he worked daily and was on time every day too! He kept the project on time and on budget, and kept the workspace very clean every day (this was very important to us). The project was completed on time. We can't say enough about what a pleasure it was to work with Jerry. He was informative throughout the project, was competetively priced, and delivered exceptional service (and quality). Phone calls were returned promptly, and our budget and timeline were respected. We were so pleased that we decided to add an entertainment center to the project that we had kept putting off because we didnt know who to hire. We would definitely recommend Jerry and will be using him in the future for additional projects.

Jerry did a fantastic job on both parts of the project. He planned very well and the job was completed in 6 weeks, only 1 week longer than he projected--but this was only because our 1936 house revealed some unexpected structural elements that were only discovered after the work began. For the family room, he pulled out old, cheap wood-veneer paneling, removed old built- in bookcases, storage units, wall-to-wall carpeting [and the old linoleum underneath], and the old mantle piece. He had drywall specialists, who he used on previous jobs for us, to put in drywall all around. The did an expert job, very clean work. He hired an excellent floor guy to install bamboo flooring, the same guy who had installed bamboo flooring for us on another job. Jerry, himself, is a master cabinetmaker. He designed and built gorgeous maple bookcases, and storage units and a beautiful new mantle piece. Finally he hired an expert painter to finish the room, who did absolutely meticulous work. We are also completely happy with the renovation on the kids' bathroom. Old tile, and uneven concrete flooring below all came out. The old tile in the shower came down, the shower area was enlarged and Jerry had a tile guy put in the new tile. It looks so great! Old wood paneling came down and drywall was put up and painted expertly. The finished job is so clean and professional! One of the reasons we have used Jerry so many times is that, in addition to the high quality work he does, he is a really nice guy. He's an experienced and honest contractor who takes great pride in his work. He also is very reliable. He always showed up when he said he would or would call if he was stuck in traffic and would be even a few minutes late. Also, at the end of every work day, he would sweep and vacuum to give us a sense of order and normalcy during the renovation. I highly recommend this guy and plan to use him again when we decide to tear down and rebuild our garage.

It was a fantastic experience. Jerry is totally honest, dependable, affordable, and does gorgeous work. You couldn't ask for more from a contractor. His tiling compares to that of an Italian craftsman, as does his woodworking. He built cabinets for us from scratch and even offered valuable design advice throughout the house. Another great thing about this company is that Jerry does much of the work himself rather than farm it out to sub-contractors. And he stays with a job until it's completed. Not only that, because he's built houses from scratch, he has experience with every level of construction. We've used Jerry at least three times for major work and wouldn't think of using any other contractor. We've recommended Jerry Swink and Jand D Construction to everyone we know and anyone who's been lucky enough to use him agrees with us. The company was originally recommended to us by both a friend and our real estate agent and we thank them wholeheartedly for the recommendation.

Jerry and his helper, who came two days only, were punctual, polite, efficient and left the job site clean. On the first job I told him he must be part "Mary Poppins" because he seems to snap his fingers and the work happens by magic. I was particularly impressed and grateful that he could rescue a falling down wood fence without disturbing the lush morning glory vine growing on it. He came recommended by one of my clients who has hired him for four different projects. The work he did first on a rental home was so good and done so swiftly, we asked him to do the work on our primary residence. We are very happy with his work, his prices and his humor and professionalism. Good at problem solving and thinking on his feet - an essential trait when working on older homes. We've referred him to friends and family.

We chose J and D Construction to do the work for us after extensive research and careful thought. We couldn't be more pleased with the out come. This company was exceptional! Before we got started Jerry Swink was able to show us some of his work and gave us many references to call. I could tell from the first time I talked with him, that he was very confident in himself and his work. We told him what we wanted and he gave us wonderful suggestions. The first thing they did was to gut the entire bathroom and tear down sheetrock and re-frame in areas that had been destroyed by water. During this process, he was extremely careful and kept things clean inside and outside the area he was working on. After the tear down, he had to replace our old plumbing and updated the electrical to code. We had him install a gorgeous new shower with glass doors and tile walls with convenient inserts. The bath tub was separate and he added the beautiful tile work that is flawless. He installed the beautiful cabinets, countertops, sinks, painted my walls and hung my mirrors. Everything that was done was done professionally and to perfection. We were so pleased with the professional service we received and the timely manner this project was completed. We felt very comfortable and trusted him in our home with or without us around. He was always on time and we never had any issues with him not showing up. Communication is a priority to him, which was very important to us during the entire remodel. Jerry is very easy to work with and made a stressful process a very enjoyable one. Not only did we get the best quote and more for our money, we also received the highest quality of service you can get. We plan to use J and D Construction again in the near future. J and D Construction had to pour foundations on parts of our home. They did electrical work, drywall work, plumbing work, and additional work as well. I felt that we got a deal for that price and they did an excellent job. They were punctual and they cleaned up after themselves. The guys were very curtious and polite.
