Houston Bee Removal

Bug and Insect Pest Control Service, Termite Pest Control Service, Mosquito Control,

About us

Beekeepers who understand bees. We salvage these beneficial insects and provide them a place to be productive. Houston Bee Removal’s Mission is to provide a superior quality service in a profesional manner. With over 50 years of beekeeping experience, Our family has been beekeepers in the Houston area for four generations and removing honeybees for two in Harris and the surrounding counties. Houston Bee Removal cares about both our clients and the honeybees, we put our clients homes back together with the materials that were removed during the bee removal process. Picking up swarms and removing honeybee colonies from homes, apartments, and office buildings is a hard and messy job, but we do it and do it right! Extraction methods vary widely depending on where and how the colony is situated (in the roof, eaves, wall even in garden or dormer windows); how long they’ve been there; and what building materials are to be removed (siding, roofing, sheet rock, or brick) to access the bee hive. We practice pesticide-free extractions when we remove with the bees and hive. For the safety of you, ourselves and Mother Nature we are not NOT a pest control company. We vacuum the bees into a cage and move them to the country where they can forage and establish their new hive in one of our apiaries. Then we manually remove and recycle all of the honeycomb. Counties we service: Austin County, Brazoria County, Chambers County, Fort Bend County, Galveston County, Grimes County, Harris County, Liberty County, Montgomery County, San Jacinto County, Waller County Cities we service: Tomball, Richmond, Conroe, Seabrook, Clearlake, Freindswood, Woodlands, Jersey Village, Katy, Cypress, Humble, Cyfair, Pinehurst, Lake Livingston, Montgomery, Klein, Spring, Houston, Bellaire, Kingwood, Sugarland, Pearland, Cinco Ranch, Mission Bend, Webster, Fulshire, Missouri City, Jacinto City, South Houston, Porter, New Caney, Cleveland, Channelview, Grangerland, Deer Park, League City, Texas Cit

Michael and his helper arrived early and talked about the approach they would take. It was interesting how they went about removing them and they explained how it was going as it happened. As they removed the honeycombs, they vacuumed the bees into a tray to be taken to a bee farm (his!) I watched and took pictures (even Facebook Live video) from across the street while it happened. Since it was right outside our bedroom window, my wife got some great closeup pictures too. The only had to cut and remove a short section of the siding, and after they removed the bees and honeycombs, they filled the cavity with insulation before reinstalling the siding. The whole process took two hours or less, and within three or four days the rest of the bees they didn't capture have already moved on. Michael said these were "good bees" as they were great producers and non-aggressive. He estimated between 6,000 to 8,000 bees were there. While it is a bit expensive it was not a DIY project I would try to tackle myself!

Mike worked with a partner for maybe four hours to get the bees out of our house and clean up the honey. He was very kind, professional, trustworthy, and he even made it fun. My kids were out of school that day and they were so interested in what he was doing. Once it was safe,  he let them come out and see the bees he'd pulled from the house. He showed them the opening in the side of the house where he took off the siding to get to the bees. He even picked up a few bees and showed them to the kids. They also got to have some of the honey. They loved it. He was very good with them and went above and beyond his job description. Considering the extent of the work he had to do to get into the house and the amount of bees there were, his prices were incredibly low. I couldn't find anyone lower. He was upfront of the cost when I first called him, which I appreciated. He opened up the house but also put it back together. He gave many suggestions for how to bee-proof my house. They were things my husband could do, but Mike also provided a list of handymen we could hire if we need help. After everything was done, Mike posted pictures of our bees to his facebook page. We enjoyed that - since we couldn't be out there to see them cut into the house, it was nice to have pictures to see. We printed them out for my daughter to show her kindergarten class, and they all were amazed.  I really appreciated Houston Bee Removal and highly recommend them.

Mike Chatterton climbed up the ladder to inspect the bees in the Owl House and determined the method he would use to extract the bees. Hhe ended up stapling a wire mesh over the Owl House entrance and then brought down the bees and the Owl House without disturbing the bees at all.  He offered to bring the Owl House back once he relocated the bees to Plantersville but I declined.  Mike explained to me how to keep bees from getting into my house along with how to bee proof my Owl House should I build another one in the future.  Mike was friendly, efficient and professional.
Good job Mike.

my husband and I noticed bees coming in and out of a small area in the ceiling of our patio. Terry Miller and his wife came out. Terry drilled two small holes in the ceiling. He used a fiberoptic camera to examine the area. He found that there was a large beam in the way that blocked access. To access the bee hive it would have involved cutting through brick and would involve considerable expense. He determined the hive was in its early stages based on pollen on only a few of the bees. he recommended an exterminator though he typically likes to keep the bees. We really appreciate him coming on a Saturday and not cutting through ceilings and walls blindly.

They removed the bees alive, quickly, safely, and effectively. They were very knowledgeable, polite, and professional. I really like they did not use poison to kill the bees and will actually be using them to make honey now. They should get and A+ for responsiveness they came out right after I called them on a sunday and took care of the bee problem.
