After being referred by a friend whose family has done business with her several times, I contacted Marilyn Causey at
Hometrust Mortgage to find out about having my home refinanced.
Initially her estimate was a quarter-point above the three credit unions
I applied with, but the level of service was much better. Marilyn was
proactive and answered every question promptly. When I contacted her, I had barely heard from two of the credit unions and still have not heard from the third. Marilyn also checked with me the next day to apprise me that the rates
had declined slightly.
Hometrust works with different lenders and with Fannie Mae to find the best balance of rate and reliability for their customers. The closing costs were comparable to those of the credit unions.
If you are considering refinancing your home, I recommend that you check with Hometrust Mortgage and in particular with Marilyn Causey. She will work to ensure that your mortgage proceeds smoothly.
