Horrible. They cut all post with a sawzaw instead of digging up old post. Didn’t attach side fence until a month later after we all started complaining. They nailed a picket in between to connect the cross fence. Straight bootleg. They were leaving trash in neighbors yard. They were also stealing property out of peoples yards. Very unprofessional.

My wife says the fence looks good but my experience was not good. First if took almost 6 weeks to get a correct estimate, I even sent a drawing with dimensions. My fence is 82' across the back and 50' up the side with 5'gate at the end of the 50'. My adjoining neighbor is 81' across the back plus 34' at the end of my 50' plus a free standing gate. Rian agreed on the initial call that he would be onsite at all times doing the work (which is what I wanted). He arrived on Tuesday morning, stayed about an hour - we went over some specific details, he never returned. Details1) neighbor in back is not friendly please avoid her yard. Also flowers at the fence line except for a 3' patch of flowers were ok to walk on. Results - I a called him Tuesday afternoon to ask him to get the old fence off the neighbors yard, bushes and my special bushes. 2) I pointed out that the utilities were not marked, Rian didn't care. I showed him that the data line for my internet and phone had slack and could be moved out of their way. Results - They cut my line , 2 days we could not work, Rian's response not an apology but " that was a freak accident". The 50' fo fence ended up to be 47' which means my gate was moved 3' (not what I wanted). There is a lot more but you get a flavor of "Fence Gentz".

Would not recommend Rian. He replaced my fence and in the process cut all the wires to my sprinkler system and broke 4 sprinkler heads. Over $1000 in damages. He has refused to pay for the cut wires as he says he is not responsible for underground wiring. He has also never finished staining my fence, more then 7 months after the fence was placed. Get everything he says in writing because he will also lie about what is HOA approved for your fence.

I do not recommend him at all. It was a huge headache having him do my fence. The headache continues because of the damage to the lawn and HOA problems. I texted him to come back and fix the violation issue with HOA but he did not respond. As seen in attached photo, the stain he applied damaged my lawn PERMANENTLY. HOA is threatening to sue us because his did a fence that was not approved. POOR QUALITY: The poor quality is shown as nails sharp tip sticking out inside my property where kids play. He was not willing to fix it until he realized the huge liability problem. LEFT LARGE DEBRIS GRASS: As seen in photo, they left the cement on the grass and didn’t come to clean it up. He simply forgot many things and we had to remind him, and yet, he did not do it right. After he started the job, he asked us to pay extra for a part that he says is already included (cap railing on the small left side). He came back after a few days to put the lock on the gate that he forgot at the first place, but when he came back he claimed that he does not have the tools with him so I told him I do it myself, and then all of the sudden, he found the tool. I do not see him an honest person. His main focus is on leaving the work as soon as possible and quality is not his concern.

We spent $4350 on a new back fence. It was agreed that they would tear down the old fence and dispose of it. Instead, they placed most of the old fence behind the new fence. We had to pester them repeatedly to get rid of the old fence. We live in an HOA and were worried about getting fined for the eyesore. The rot board was uneven and there were gaps here and there that our dogs could get through and escape. There were nails on the ground all along the new fence and in our neighbor's yard. My wife who is soon after a battle with cancer, along with our children, noticed the nails and did their best to pick up the nails and other debris while I was at work. She also went behind the fence with a wheelbarrow and picked up the debris they left. They picked up most of the old fence, but left a considerable amount of debris they had agreed to remove. There was recently a strong storm that blew through. The high wind knocked our fence inward. I had another fence company come out to give an estimate on righting the fence. They found that at least three of the posts had little to no concrete. They will fix the fence and determine if the posts are from 18 to 24 inches sunk. It is not surprising the wind pushed the fence if it was not anchored properly. Aesthetically, the fence looks good, but looks can be deceiving. This work was begun on 4/27/20 and today, 6/16/20, we are still dealing with their shoddy work. We do not recommend this company.

Did a great job. Requires a little bit of a push to get work done, because the company has a lot of requested work but small workforce. I am an "A type" personality so it was easy to work with owner. I would just "bug" him constantly. Sometimes job was not done correctly the first time, but after pushing for correct fencing, Rian was excellent. I am overall very happy with the work done. I would hire again but keep in mind that "pushing" might be needed. But, does a good job when monitored. Thank you, Mark Markgraf

Put up fence when he said he would but did not finish the gates. He put up temporary gates and told us he would return the next day to finish but wanted the rest of the money then. It took him 13 days to come back to finish the gates. At that time he said he was going to take the gates to his shop and finish them an he would return in 2 days to put them on. He never showed up, never called, never texted. Another day has come and gone and still no gates. He got all his money so why should he care when he finishes the job. We are very disappointed.

Rian and his team did a great job on our fence. They were timely, organized and kept their work area clean. I had received quotes last year from several companies and they all seemed high. Fence Gentz's quote was lower for 3 post Cedar than I had previously received for 2 post untreated pine. I had to jump on it and I could not be happier.

Not good. He was here 10 minutes and wanted half of the price so he could go buy the rest of the supplies needed to do the job. I felt kinda highjacked because he had not mentioned it in previous phone conversations or on his invoice. I wanted this fence as quickly as possible so I paid him the half. The main point of the fence for us was having the rot board dug into the ground so there was not a gap between fence and dirt. He did not do this and when my husband asked him about it he got pretty rude and said how about waiting till I am finished before you critique it!?! The sticker on the rot board said not for contact with the ground and of course he said he uses these all the time and has never had a problem. There was not much to do at that point as they had already cemented in the posts. He also tacked a board across my neighbors fence on their side to keep one of the posts he was replacing. Overall, very disappointed!!
