It went great the installers were helpful answering all of my questions, prompt and respectful.

It went very well.  The two ladies have wonderful installers that are prompt and timely.  They were there on the days they said they would.

We talked warranty and they mentioned just before coming to our house, they had been to a client's house that they had done work for in the past.  Apparently it had actually been three years and the client had a small issue and they were going to fix it ...... even though it was out of warranty.  Since they are small and don't advertise, their business is based on word of mouth and repeat business.  They go the extra mile.

Put on solid wood flooring. Did a wonderful job.

F-A-B-O-U-L-O-U-S!!!!! Belinda at Direct Floors came to my home with samples and ready to measure before Thanksgiving Holiday. Never with pressure to seal the deal, she answered all questions and potential concerns on my part. She sent her installer Nathan to double check measurements and answer questions about some of my requests upon install. Let me say now,
this ability and willingness to work with me sealed the deal. I have a special needs child living at home and moving out of the home for this project would have been a major hardship on us. By the way, that is a request of most flooring companies is to move out of the home, when the entire home is being updated. These people moved and setup beds and living quarters for us to try and maintain routine thru a major renovation. I cannot say enough about how well this went. No damage to anything in the home and the most honest and polite people I think I have ever worked with. They actually had a key to my home thru the process and stayed in touch with me on any and all issues that come up during the process.
They came in and started to demo all tile fllooring and a very ugly and outdated brick fireplace as well as remove carpet. Keeping in mind I have already mentioned that my home is just below 3000 sq ft., it was also built around 1978. Floating of floors begins . . . this is when all started getting concerned. My floors really were in bad shape under all that carpet. We moved on but this slowed the process at no fault to anyone, that is just how it is.
After completion of wood floors installation I received call at work, we are ready to HELP YOU move your things in from garage. I was like, really? Trust me, I left the office immediately.
After I was back in the home with bedrooms being bedrooms the tile and stone installer begins!
One of my requests before the project started was I did NOT want wooden thresholds from were the wood met the tile. And I had a specific stone in mind for the fireplace. The threshold, no problem. The stone . . . Belinda chased until she found it to be shipped in and never complained that I held up completion because I had to have that stone. I was so surprised by the fireplace. It is more beautiful that I had ever expected. They did a very professional job, not some DYI project. The fireplace was demolished and stone installed. I thought it would be stuck to the front of the old brick! Not!!
This project took just under 2 weeks and I am proud to attach photos of the work done. I am just disappointed I am limited to the number of photos I can share on this site, because I am so proud of the finished results.
