Since 1985, Custom Pool Concepts has been creating beautiful backyards, incorporating cutting edge design technology with the highest level of integrity and customer service. Our Certified Building Professional status, or CBP, from the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals gives our customers the piece of mind in knowing that things are built right. There are only about 300 across the country. Though there are no contractor licenses in Texas, there is a certification to guide you in the right direction and for swimming pools, that certification is the CBP. Custom Pool Concepts is also a member of the prestigious Aquatech society. Acceptance to Aquatech marks the difference between a good pool builder and an exceptional one, as Aquatech invites only the best to become members. After careful evaluation of our craftsmanship, financials, and company history, we were voted in to become a member in 2001. construction went well. some initial problems with heater/spa. major problems with pool surface (pebbletec). took 2 years and 2 resurface jobs to correct. after 3rd year we have had to replace many parts in heater for spa, with no remaining warranty. communication with company supervisor terrible. does not return calls when promised.

Overall, we were pleased with the pool once completed. We had some bumps along the way, but the pool looks nice and performs as expected. Contractor broke a section of our driveway that owner of CPC refused to replace at his cost. We ended up splitting the cost in order to move forward, but it has effected my view of the company. The onsite supervisor was not as knowledgable as he should have been to help guide the contractors when problems occurred. He made alot of excuses over the 4+ months it took them to build the pool. We also had quite a few pieces of equipment go out in the first few months after completion. They did send out a company to repair or replace broken equipment as per warranty, but the pool would be down longer than expected until service could be completed. Quality pool builders are hard to find it so they may still be better than most, though. I am undecided if I would use them again.

Whenever I have a question about the pool and the warranty they get back to me right away. They will even stop by if need be to check on things. Everyone comments on how beautiful it is and how appropriate the design is for our backyard.

I wanted a pool for a small space, for exercise, that matched the style of the house. I got exactly what I wanted very efficiently from the design by Rob through the project supervision by Jack. Nothing fazed this company (even torrential rains) because they stayed on top of the job moving it along until it was completed. Extremely professional yet staying personable while handling my questions and concerns (quickly I learned they had the situation under control - thank goodness!) The ultimate best part is with such efficiency the pool was ready for summer - the hardest I had to do was control my enthusiasm as I watched the pool appear stop action photography. Custom Pool Concepts redefines "competent contractor" as far as I'm concerned, now I have a yardstick to measure others by! Thanks for the positive experience !
