They came out here and was good about working around my schedule. He cane out here on a sunday. I thought that it was a little high but I wanted somebody really good to do the wiring for me. I am always scared with someone else who will do the wiring and might burn down my house. I wanted someone who is experience. He came out here and did a good estimate. He was very nice but he was very irate with me after the service. If you are looking at your TV, you don't want to see it plugged in front of the screen. It feels like he did not do one before. He was on time. He came when he was suppose to.
Response from Custom Electrical Services
"On the initial meeting with this customer I told her that she needed to purchase a light fixture that she would be happy with and have it here for us to install. That is way there was an extra charge form the original estimate. When it came time to install the light fixture it had not been purchased yet. I had to go and purchase the fixture so we could complete the project. What this customer is calling a overcharge is actually mark up for my time to go get the light fixture for her. If she did not want to pay the mark up she could have purchase the light before we arrived or wile we were doing all the other task on her project. The bath room switch is a dual switch. We hooked up the light to the top of the switch and the fan to the bottom of the switch. This is not installed improperly. If she wanted it reversed that is a personal preference that could have been brought to my attention when we where doing the job. The TV plug was installed where the customer ask us to put it. after she looked at the placement of the plug she told me that the cord would be seen so I installed an additional plug to hide the cord for free. The customer and I walked the project and she had no issues with the work and I was paid in full. All of the issues that are stated in this complaint started after the customer went to the home improvement store and saw that I marked up the light fixture. After the last phone conversation with this customer and she was so confrontational about the light fixture my attitude did change but I was never unprofessional or irate. I did tell her that if I had to return to change any thing that is not a warranty issues there would be an additional charge to cover my overhead: My time, gas, helper wages, ect."

Keith arrived on time each of 2 days worked. As is often the case when working in a finished home, adding outlets at cabinets can be a challenge (wall caps, blocking for cabinets, etc.) This contractor charges by the job completed, not time and material. There were a few obstacles to over come, which really ate into the time he spent here. With the original breaker box being full, it was no easy task to place the new subpanel near the existing. He worked carefully to not cause any sheet rock damage that could not be easily touched up with paint. This home has 12' ceilings, finding a path down a narrow wall was not easy. He found an accessible spot for each of the above cabinet outlets, and managed to place them almost out of sight.
