Curry Mechanical did a fantastic job. My Mothers AC unit was 14 years old and quit working. They were on the job the same day I called. I appreciated the quick response as my parents are elderly. They also replaced the Thermostat with a very basic model as the new wi-fi technology thermostats are too "complicated" for my Mother. I highly recommend Curry Mechanical. They are Quick, honest and reliable.

Not only would I hire them again but I have hired them multiple times since their first visit. Here’s why: They are efficient and respectful. They do what’s right for the customer and are not just trying to sell you a new unit. They have competitive pricing. They have experience making new tech (smart thermostats) work properly with older units. Family owned and operated plus the owner’s a pilot. That’s awesome. I got their name through a friend after talking to other HVAC shops that only wanted to talk about replacing my entire unit and not repair it. So during an emergency in the summer when my AC stopped working I figured I'd give them a try. Curry Mechanical was quick to come out, did an assessment, got the unit working again, and then gave me my options for the unit in the future. I chose the repair route. Six months later the heater had an issue and I immediately called Curry up. Same situation. They were quick to come out, did an assessment, got the unit working again, and then gave me my options for the unit in the future. Again, I chose the repair route. One thing they noticed in this visit was that my thermostat wires were not sufficient for my Nest to work with my unit. So he ran a new line for the thermostat and wired it up. Not only did he fix my heater but now my Nest no longer rebooted every other month. At the back end of the summer of 2020 I decided to replace the AC unit and hired Curry Mechanical to do it. They were quick to come out, did an assessment, and then gave me my options. We collectively chose a path, scheduled the visit, and everything went as expected. The only surprise for me was when they said they were done I went into the attic and not only did he replace the unit he fixed issues with ducting and tidied things up. I’ve had other vendors throw their trash in the attic. Curry Mechanical cleaned up after themselves. Long story short, hire them and you won’t be disappointed.

This contractor installed two new HVAC units that were later determined to be oversized. The oversized units resulted in mold. The contractor did not pay for the damage caused by their error. Update- 4/21/2021 The contractor’s response was incorrect. The unit that Curry Mechanical, Inc. installed upstairs on 08/31/2018 was a 2.5 ton unit, which was a half ton larger than the prior unit. A Manual-J report by another contractor indicated that the upstairs unit should have been a 1.8-ton unit. In addition, the static pressure on the upstairs unit was too high. The second unit installed (downstairs) on 04/16/2019 was a 3-ton unit. A Manual-J report by another contractor indicated that it should have been a 2-ton unit, and the static pressure was too high. Therefore, the downstairs unit was one ton larger than it should have been. There wasn’t a musty smell in my home until Curry Mechanical, Inc. installed the oversized units, and the musty smell was due to mold in the ductwork/ceiling registers and the ductwork chases - caused by the oversized units. The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation issued a warning to Curry Mechanical because the contractor was unable to produce requested documentation regarding the work in my home. Curry Mechanical did not create a Manual-J report to determine the proper size of the HVAC units and they did not properly adjust the static pressure of the new units, which resulted in mold. The contractor did not provide any relief for the damages to my home, which were in excess of $40,000.00.

Outstanding - made a big difference in the air quality, humidity levels, and overall temperature in my home. Everyone who works for this company is extremely professional and helpful.

manufacturer provided the wrong unit. curry pushed to get us an entirely new unit for free. i was very pleased with them. they went above and beyond to take care of us. i would highly recommend them.

David arrived for the estimate and was very professional, knowledgeable and courteous.  He took time on the initial visit to make a thorough inspection of the entire system and found what two other contractors called in for estimates had overlooked: a leak in the freon suction line located a few feet down the line from the coil in the attic.
He arranged for a followup service call to drain the remaining freon, repair the leak and recharge the system.  All work performed in repairing the leak was completed satisfactorily, and did not exceed his original estimate.
I was also impressed by the fact that he did not try to inflate the overall price by telling me I needed items or work that were not necessary to get our air back on again.

Curry Mechanical arrived at the time agreed did a great job. My furnace was not operating properly - I suspected it was the internal control board malfunctioning and was prepared to pay $$$ to have it replaced. After some detailed investigation turns out it was a $15 fan capacitor. Curry found the problem, replaced the part, showed me the old and slighly discolored one, then cycled the system multiple times to verify it was working properly and called the job complete.  Problem found, fixed, and tested in approx. 1 1/2 hours. Very honest and interested in earning repeat business. I will call them again for my A/C and Heat needs.
