We took an old wall clock to Michael that we almost threw away thinking that it was not salvageable. This clock with scattered pieces had been hanging in a garage for about 50 years.  We had little hope for it when he asked us to leave it with him and to give him some time with it. He completely restored the clock using original and some replacement pieces. We were thrilled when he emailed a picture of the restored clock to us this past week. Michael has done previous work for us and we have been more than pleased each time. He is very professional with a warm personality. His knowledge of clocks and passion for his business is amazing.  We will happily continue to use Michael and make referrals to him.

Michael was absolutely the most professional service provider that we have ever dealt with. He was attentive, on time, courteous and willing to share his knowledge. We have worked with many service providers in the last year, but Michael was by far the best by a lengthy margin that we have worked with. Not only did he service our clock in a timely fashion, but he used some of his own parts to keep the cost down. Both my wife and I are in professional businesses and we were both totally amazed at his work, as well as his ethical business behavior. We would Highly recommend him. 

Michael was great! He came over to the house two days after contacting him on Angie's List. He was punctual, very pleasant and knowledgeable. He oiled both clocks and told my husband and I the correct way to set the clocks. They are both working much better now. We will definitely use his services if we need any more clock repairs.

Very professional in his approach, communications and service

He was very knowledgeable and new exactly what needed to be done. I liked that he wasn't trying to get a bunch of money out of us, he just explained what was happening with it and what problems could arise in the future. He told us about the history of the clock and it's company as well. He knows his clocks and I'd recommend anyone with a clock problem to use him. I was impressed.

Michael was very thorough and we were perfectly satisfied. He explained everything to us. We now know more about our clock than ever before. The clock movement is an improvement over the original movement and should give us very good service for the next 20 to 30 years if we have it oiled and serviced as recommended which we will.
We would recommend his service to anyone without hesitation.

Michael took the time to explain what he did to the clock. He explained how to correctly wind the clock, reset the clock, and reviewed a maintenance plan (every 4 years). He is a man who is a true craftsman at work and we would use him again! We highly recommend him for all of your clock repair needs! Thank you Michael!

I was very pleased with the service. The man is from Greece and was trained by his father to work on Cuckoo clocks. The first time we had it repaired, we hung it up ourselves and then it fell down. I had him fix it again and then come to the house to get it hung up safely. It was meaningful to me to get the clock repaired, because I have had the clock for about 30 years and plan to pass it down to my children. Therefore it was worth the price to have him take such good care of it for me. He also appraised the clock for me. I thought he was very honest about the repairs it needed, the cost of the project, and the price he appraised it at. Everything checked out! He was very professional and personable at the same time.

I reached out to Michael via email, sending pictures of the clock and the movement, asking if he could repair it. He quickly replied that he could, but to give him a call so that we could set up a time to meet.
Once that was established, I drove to his shop, which is his garaged converted. It's very nice in terms of a working shop, it is climatized, well lit, and other clocks he has fixed and is in the process of fixing were displayed on the shelves lining the walls. He did a few simple tests on the clock and quickly determined what the issue was, even before disassembly. He explained to me what he thought the repair was that would be needed, and the cost.
After that he offered to let me sit and visit with him as he repaired the clock. He said it would only take 20 minutes, and it did. He professionally disassembled the clock and removed the broken part. He offered me two solutions: repair or replace. He suggested repair since it was cheaper and the clock was in such good shape.
Once the repair was made, he wound the clock, demonstrated it's proper function and even gave me some advice on how properly wind the clock in the future to prevent the same issue from occurring again.
He also oiled and lubed all of the working parts of the movement at no additional cost. He was very friendly, professional, knowledgable, and proficient. I learned that he is a second generation clock man, learning everything from his father, who has worked on clocks for over half a century.
My ONLY complaint, is that he does not take credit cards and his shop is in a subdivision a little far from most local banks and/or ATMs.

I would rate this company an A+ and would highly recommend. Michael was there on time and proceeded to service the clock prior to moving. He explained the process as he cleaned and packaged the clock. Upon arrival at our new home, he set the clock up with no issues. His price was extremely reasonable considering the distance that he drove and the service that he performed. As I said, my husband and I were extremely pleased and would highly recommend him.

Michael was able to repair the case himself (over the phone, he thought I might need someone in cabinet repair to take care of that) and get the clock running again. He took a lot of time to explain how to maintain the clock and also gave me additional information on getting the clock fully restored, which I will do at a later time (this work was done to collect from the shipper, for insurance purposes.) Michael clearly has a passion for clocks and really knows what he's doing. He could also tell that previous repairs had been attempted on the clock by tradesmen who didn't know what they were doing. It's reassuring to find someone who takes the time and has the skills to do things right. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Classic Clock Shop to others.

Michael was very easy to get in contact with by phone and I made arrangements to meet him at his shop to look at the clock. He determined that it was overwound and because it had not worked in more than 20 years it may need more than just a cleaning. He was very honest and did not guarantee that the clock would work for a long period of time after the cleaning. When I picked up the clock Michael went over the directions on how and when to properly wind the clock and set the chime. I got the clock back in time for my husband's birthday surprise and we are very happy with how well it is working and keeping time.

I learned so much about my clock from Michael. It is easy to see that he loves clocks and is an expert on their repair and maintenance. He also very kindly helped me remove glass from a broken window and explained how to repair the window. He is a great person and certainly understands customer service.

Our mantle clock stopped chiming. Michael replaced the movement while we waited. He cleaned the case also. Michael is very enthusiastic and obviously loves his work. He loves to share his knowledge. His shop is impeccable.

Everything went wonderful. He is perfect for fixing clocks. The only thing is that you have to wait a while because he is so busy. The price is about average. He is really excellent.

I brought him an antique German clock that we had tried to have repaired in the past by someone else unsuccessfully. He gave us an estimate that seemed reasonable so I left the clock with him. He called when the repair was complete. I talked with him for a while and he clearly knows mechanical clocks and enjoys his work. He taught me a lot about my clock and how to take care of it. The clock is working great.
