Installation was rushed but seemed sufficient and multiple assurances were given Service would take care of issues promptly. Could not have been farther from the truth. No show on two appointments, no call. Nothing. Even though I shared the urgency that the yard was flooding and the leak was before the shut off. I had to fix that part on my own. When calling to get the issue resolved was met with a sarcastic man named Chris that argued how I should understand how busy they are and just wait. That I can’t expect their techs to call me when they aren’t going to show up to the appt that I took time off from work for. He tried telling me how if I would have wrapped my pipes we wouldn’t have this problem. (Really? Underground) NEVER do businesss with them. It’s a trap. 7 days of missed appts with zero calls from them and THE CUSTOMER is the problem. Just ask Chris. Worst business I have interacted with in 30 years. Ever. If I could give negative numbers I would.

Professional. Roof support in attic was broken. Reported to me by another contractor. Could have been one of two contractors that broke the support beam. No way to determine responsibility.

Work was performed satisfactorily but I was not happy about what they wanted to charge for the work. Once the leak was uncovered which took about 30 minutes, the technician estimated it would take another 30 minutes to fix it using a few PVC fittings. Total charge would be $389.00. After talking with the main office, the price was reduced to $239.00 which is still a lot for 1 hour of work, but I agreed to pay it. I have no problem with the quality of the work performed, the company was very responsive to my initial request for service and their technician Jose was very polite and efficient, but because of the high prices that they now charge for small jobs I feel like I need to shop around to find another sprinkler company for my future business. My recommendation is, whenever possible, to obtain additional quotes if you want to consider using this company.

DO. NOT. USE. THIS. COMPANY. A two-day job ended up requiring almost four weeks to complete, and was only completed after putting their deposit (charged on a credit card) in dispute. These folks are totally disorganized; they over-promise and under-deliver. They did not show up two thirds of the time they said they would, they tore up our yard, and left trash and debris around.
The work was eventually done properly, and office staff are polite and empathetic, but this was not worth the effort -- a truly disappointing experience.

Daniel the Service person was punctual and very polite. He explained the Service Charge and made me aware that once he finished troubleshooting the issues he will provide me with a full estimate. He took a about 10 - 15 minutes to diagnose the problems and determine the cause as well as what parts would be needed. The problem was the Valve at the water controls of the Zones. Zone 3 was defective and causing some sprinklers not to work and leakage of water at the controls under the ground by the back of the house. He adjusted sprinkler heads needed adjustments and set the Sprinkler Controls correctly as they needed to be updated.

The pool valve repair was fine and done at an agreed price. The problem was the service afterward.
A chlorinater is attached near where the work was done. The chlorinator cap could easily be removed prior to service, it is almost impossible to remove it now after the service. I was not there to see the work performed, but I surmised the workers replaced the cap extremely tight to where I cannot remove it without breaking the unit.
I called Blue Point, a CBS Company, about the problem. They assured me someone would come to my house between 3 and 5 p.m. on June 24. I left work early to be there on time at 3 p.m., I rushed and was home at 3. I called at 4:15 and 4:50 to ask the status of the service. I was assured twice I would get the service call that day. At 5:30 p.m. someone, I believe Chris, called to tell me he could not make it.
We then discussed the problem over the phone. He told me they were not responsible for the chlorinator. He was not there to see the work being performed and essentially said I was a liar for suggesting their workers might be responsible. He said he could go to my house some other day but would charge me $109 for a service call. He said if he tried to remove the cap and it broke, he would charge me for the installation of a new chlorinator.
I would not recommend this company because of their lack of professionalism and deceptive practices.

We purchased our house 7 months ago and have been doing renovations every since. We noticed that our front sprinkler system was still under warranty with CBS. We decided we wanted to add sprinkler to the back yard as well. After CBS's reviews, I was hesitant to use them, but we decided to get a quote anyways. They came in considerable lower than other companies and the same person that installed the front would be installing the back. We decided to stick with CBS. We were impressed. They installed the sprinklers very quickly and cleaned up after themselves. I had questions, and wanted a couple sprinklers moved. They came back the next day and answered my questions and moved the two sprinkler heads I wanted moved. I would recommend for sprinkler services.

They had a hard time obtaining proper city license as it was the first time they installed a sprinkler system in league city. After installing had to have a repair technician back a couple of time to fix a leak. The third time I had to video tape and provide picture too prove the sprinkler was leaking. Tried to call back multiple times to purchase the extended warranty however I was never called back and gave up trying to get it.

The crew showed up on time and completed the install in a timely manner. They also answered all our questions, demonstrated how to run the system, and let us know they would be out to make any adjustments that may become apparent latter on, as plants grew in the spring and summer.

He showed up on time. He had all the necessary equipment to do the job. He took the time to show me what he was doing and how he would fix the problem. He was at my house about an hour. He was fast, courteous and professional. He cleaned up any mess he made during the repairs. I had called several other companies in the area and CBS was by far the most affordable. Two of the other sprinkler companies told me it would be a few weeks before they could even come and look at my system. One never bothered to call me back. I will use CBS for all my work.

It went terrible stay away from this service as they do not know what they are doing. They claimed HCL would not effect on copper in motor, they have no chemistry knowledge. The fumes from the screen when we opened pump almost knocked out pump tech and myself. The screen next to the pump is not where chlorine tabs go.

"I had never heard about the chlorine issue prior to this Angie's List posting. I am aware of the pool over-filling. During a pool cleaning service visit, we turned her water on because the water was low. When we returned later that afternoon, we couldn't get to her house because there had been a shooting on her street and the police had the road closed. The customer turned the water off at 10PM. This had nothing to do with the pump going out a few weeks later, BUT we did replace her pump at OUR COST. The customer cancelled immediately afterwards."

I can't think of a worse experience with a contractor that I have ever had. I would never recommend this company to anyone, for any reason, ever. I strongly suggest you try anyone else. I'd do the job myself or go without before I gave these guys a penny. Rain is more dependable than these guys. The #1 problem I had was the number of no call no shows, I lost count, but I'd say there were at least 5. Which brings up an obvious question, why do they need to make so many trips? Well they never could seem to finish anything in one day, there was always a reason they needed to come back. They never called to tell me that they were not coming. They have absolutely zero respect or consideration for their customers time. They never called after a missed appointment and were full of excuses when I'd call the next day. Based on the way they responded to my complaints I got the impression they were accustomed to dealing with unhappy customers. ***DO NOT USE CBS SERVICES***

"We were to [member name removed]house multiple times. He had just had a new pool installed and we were re-working his old sprinkler that had been completely destroyed during the construction process. There were lots of complications. Once we finished the sprinkler, there were some markings (that we may have made) on his new decking. It took us a couple of more visits and significant effort, but we ultimately took care of them so that his decking was perfect. We kept to our original estimate and finished the sprinkler restoration project. To my understanding, the [Member name removed]'s are satisfied with the outcome, but were very frustrated about the road to get there."

They press for a deposit upfront. I asked them for a layout and drawign of what tey wanted to do. They said they would do that at the tim of installation. I wanted the drawing to have a leg to stand on. The day the installation was supposed to happen it rained for a full week. They did not do the work, or provide me with what I asked for so I cancelled the service and they kept the deposit of $200.00. They refuse to give my money back. I spoke with an attorney and they said it was not legal to keep the deposit without doing any work. IF they and given me a layout of what they planned on doing I would have went forward with the work. Also they gave me 3 different prices. The 1st price was $1600.00 and I knew the job could not be done for $1600 and I wans't comfortable with that price then they told me $3000. That sounded more in line with what I needed to pay. I also asked for a letter showing I paid the deposit. They also wrote that the total cost of the job was then $3150 which ws not the prie that was quoted. Then they were supposed to send out another letter with the correct info but they never did.
They say they are CBS services but ask to have the check made out to a different name of Smarter Sprinklers.

There were delays with the excuse of and quot;weatherand quot; but the amount of scattered showers should not have caused the delay.
There are exposed pipes in some areas of the flower beds.
Their price is good. The yard is definitely receiving the proper watering.

They sell me insurance every year for a little over $100 so if something goes wrong, they fix it. I've only had to use the insurance one or two times. One year we had a freeze and a valve had to be changed. One winter some of the irrigation pipes broke and they came and changed it right away. They were timely. They did a good job and there were not any problems. They haven't had to do too much but for the few times I have needed them, they were there. We bought the insurance when we had the system installed and you can't drop it and pick it up again. They have done a very good job. We have 6 zones with about 45 heads. We didn't get the cheap version, we got the good version. They are there when we need them and they do a good job. They had a big crew of 6-8 people and they dug the trenches by hand when they installed the sprinkler system. They installed the equipment and it has been reliable and good. Their prices were the lowest.

Their price was reasonable. They were prompt. The quality of their product is quite good. That is what I like. The products which they used like they used Hunter, accent pipes and wherever it was required they actually used. They didn't say that this may not be required here. I had to close some of them because it was overflowing.

This was a fantastic experience, I still use them for pool maintenance and landscaping needs.
I had probably every pool company in Houston come and give me an estimate along with their ideas of what would fit well in our back yard. I unfortunately figured out that every pool company must send their sales people to the same school.... Even when I was explicit about what I wanted, I received the same and quot;penut shapedand quot; rock pool that I personally dislike.
I was quite frustrated until Wade at Blue Point came in and when I told him that I could not decide between a deep or sports pool he suggested that with my yard, I could actually do both and built a proposal for me that hands down was the best I had seen. It was exactly what I had wanted and after a little negotiation, we went with them.
Wade subtlely steered me toward certain design features and away from others, the only things I regret are a couple of things that I did not listen to him about. for example the surfacing, I thought to save a little money there and would not do it again..
The paver idea was Wade's also and thank goodness, I had a slight depression a year later the area was holding water and they came in and fixed it imediately. This process was pretty easy even though the weather was not helping.
I think what I like the most is that Wade stayed with the process throughout.
Very hands on, he always knew what was going on.
I have made several recommendations to friends who have been also quite satisfied.
I will be using them for my knew home this summer.
