Carlos was punctual and gave me a reasonable quote. He also mentioned that his company uses Sherwin Williams Super paint, which is supposedly a good paint. Because his price was reasonable, I booked him to paint my home. He said the work will take 4 days.
Chris and 2 other men came to paint my home as scheduled. Since two of them were working on Saturday, I bought them a large pizza. I noticed they haphazardly removed and thrown my Hunter Douglas honeycomb blinds (about 26 of them) on the floor, so I tried my best to move them out of their way. On the 3rd day at around 4pm, Chris said they were almost done and ready to leave. I looked around and it seemed that they were far from done. The kitchen was still being painted. My quote included touch up of baseboards and door trims, which Carlos said his crew will caulk and make it look new. I also got a quote for 6 doors to be painted, that was not done either.
So I pointed out the work that was yet to be completed and they proceeded to continue painting. One guy painted the doors but when I went to check on the work, apparently he only painted one side - totally ridiculous and unheard of that the quote is for one side of the door, not both sides. I had to walk around the whole 3 story house, pointing out to the painter which baseboards needed to be touched up because he decided to not do it. In the end, he told me he didn't have any more white paint left. Seeing that it was 7pm and the other guy was in the truck waiting to leave, I gave up and gave them the check for $2400.
The next day I checked the quality of work, there were patches of paint and paint stains all over the house. I'm glad the house was empty and had no furniture yet. To top if off, Chris gave me his business card and told me he could come paint for me and not to tell Carlos about it. I had already paid Carlos for painting my house, why would I pay Chris to come finish the job he was paid to do in the first place?
Also, I realized the label on one remaining paint can said "Promar 200", not Super paint as promised. So I called Carlos to inquire about it and informed him that the painting was spotty and patchy - in some places the old paint was still visible. He assured me that Promar 200 is good paint and was only used in the kitchen. He never offered to fix the shoddy paint job. To fix the patchy spots, I went to Sherwin Williams to purchase flat/matte Super paint that Carlos' team supposedly used (because of the two colors I painted my home, they didn't give me any remaining paint for this one). To my dismay, upon painting and letting 48 hours to dry, it was obvious that I had patched up some spots because it was mismatched. The helpful people at Sherwin Williams mentioned that there is a difference in paint between Promar 200 and Super even if they are both the same paint color.
Carlos was the cheapest bid I got. You'll definitely get what you pay for.

His painters do a really good job (though the cleanup after the interior painting in July wasn't up to snuff) and the price is fair.  My issue is that the paint job that was done on our front porch last year has started to flake.  Carlos indicated he would send someone out to repaint the porch.  That was at least three months ago and all I have received since then are assurances that it will be done, but I am still waiting.  On 8/25 I sent an email to Carlos asking if he could verify the type of paint that was used and the color so that I can do it myself (the house is for sale and the flaking paint makes for a bad first impression for buyers), but I am still waiting for a response.

Started on time.  Estimated 2-3 days. Finished in 2.  Excellent quality work.  Protected wood floor, carpeting and furniture.  Took down and reinstalled blinds.  They probably would have done the drapes also but we chose to do that ourselves.  They were quiet, fast and top-notch quality.  I will use them again.

Great!  We re-painted the majority of our house ourselves, but wanted some professional help for a 2-story hallway and some touch-ups for areas where we couldn't get the lines perfectly straight ourselves.  The guys arrived on time and did a great job.

The team exceeded my expectations in terms of service quality and timeliness. They were able to paint the interior of the house within 2 days.  There were no messes and the team was punctual on arrival and departure.  I would use them again.

Carlos was very prompt for the initial visit.  He provided a quotation shortly after looking at my house.  Very accommodating with regard to scheduling the work.  I was very impressed with how much time that the painting crew took to protect the furniture, flooring, etc.  They moved all of my furniture and took great care when doing so.  They used Sherwin Williams paint, which was a plus for me.The painting crew actually spoke English, so communication was not a problem.  They allowed me the opportunity to do a final walkthrough and did an excellent job of touching up before final completion of the project.  Lastly, I was impressed that they offered to come back again to do more touch up if needed.  Great job!

We had 3 different painting companies come out to give us quotes on a Friday morning. Carlos arrived as scheduled (even a few minutes early) to walk the house with us and discuss the work we wanted done. He was friendly and knowledgable. We had a quote by the end of the weekend and Carlos Mendoza Painting was the best price. By Monday morning we had scheduled to start a week later, but when Carlos' team finished early on another job they were able to get started on our house that Tuesday! The painting crew showed up on schedule. We met with the project manager, Jose, and walked the the house to go over the work and quote once more. We were not living in our house yet so we provided Jose a key. The team locked up our home each night and turned down the air. The team worked from Tuesday - Saturday (even on the 4th of July!). When we arrived on Sunday to walk it ourselves we were so impressed with the quality of work and how great everything looked. The even matched the touch up trim and ceiling paint so well. We only noticed that they forgot to painting the entry closet. We called Carlos and they had a painter out there first thing Monday to complete the small closet. We also asked for a bit more ceiling paint on a particular area of the living room ceiling that was stained from the previous homeowner trying to touch up with the wrong color. Both items were done promptly and well on Monday. Jose met us at the house on Tuesday to do a final walk through and return our key. From start to finish the whole house was done and done well in less than a week. We could not be more satisfied with the price and quality of the work. We will absolutely be using Carlos Mendoza Painting when we do all our trim work and ceilings in the next year or two!

The work went horrible.  The ceiling took three times to get the texture to match.  To be clear, you can never totally match the texture, but it was so bad that my 7 year old could tell.
The kitchen cabinets were not sanded so now the paint is chipping off and I have had to have two cabinet doors repainted.  When I called and because they were cracking I was told because my house was settleing.  Later to find out they did not let caulk dry (new cabinet door) and it cracked under the paint.

The crew did not speak english (totally ok), but the crew leader was never on site so I had no way to communicate things.
It was a horrible experience.  I choose them based on two recommendations and becaue they "specalize" in texturing and faux painting.  They were my highest bid!
Never again.

This was a large and difficult job taking two days. Painters were on time and professional. This is the 3rd time I have used Carlos Mendoza and will continue using in the future.

To begin, Carlos Mendoza came out to do the quote himself and was very nice, professional. Unfortunately, we never saw nor dealt with him again. We were matched up with his foreman, Jose, who seemed nice enough but never told the truth. Please note that this company does not go through and patch the cracks, nail pops etc.... we had to ask them to do that after they had already painted one coat. They said that is a different price which seems odd since all 4 other companies we got the quote from did indeed patch and prepared before painting. Make sure you have every single thing down on the quote that you want done b/c adding something is like pulling teeth. I added my dining room and finally confinced them to do it. All along I also asked them, when are you doing the stairs etc, via text and email, and quot;oh we will start tomorrowand quot; then when it came to the final day - and quot;that wasn't on our listand quot;. I about lost it. We are having Hannon Designs come back and REDO EVERYTHING they did so we are in the hole $2400. Price might be good for their work (or appear that way) but you definitely get what you pay for. I will never use this company, never reccomend ever. We were extremely disappointed with the horrible communication.
