rains delayed the construction and then it just drug out for about 4 weeks .... excuses were given..... issues were discovered and when our representative was contacted our representative came out and saw the issues we reported and committed to have them repaired the next week, the work crew sent out did a shoddy job (we can provide pictures) as a result the pergula support beam at the house is in correct...  in addition,.... water backs up on to the main patio because the stone person did not do a good job of grading the patio ....  ....solutions are easy but we have been waiting now for over 1 month for them to come out an fix the issues (about one day of labor)... as of aug 7, 2015 we are still waiting

Builder provided estimates up front. Mentioned this would be completed within a week and took a month and a half to complete. Most all of the work was sub-contracted out and scheduling of these sub-contractors were delayed and we could not plan around the times in which they could not commit to. Most all building phases of this project was not managed which caused repetitive mistakes that needed to be reworked and added to additional delays and scheduling conflicts.

Backyard transformations made it easy to select and purchase their design and ultimate product.  The sales person we very
responsive to our numerous questions and accurate in the way the process worked.    The project was delivered on time, in time and there were no over promised and under-delivery. Installers were friendly and easy to work with,showed great level of professionalism and pride in their work.  At the end the addition look like it has always been part of the house.  We
would recommend them to others.

As of 6/6 I have not received the quote as promised.  I'm not going to call him. Since he didn't follow through with a quote as stated, I can't trust him to do a job and finish it on time.

Initially the project estimated to be completed in three weeks stayed on schedule beginning with the installation of the footings for the kitchen the first week of July.  Slowly the subcontractors' schedules fell behind and we did not see completion of the project until mid-August.  And the project really isn't completely finished today as we never received the powered sunscreen.  Thankfully we withheld those funds.   The best workers were the carpenters who constructed the 22' X 22' pergola.  They were knowledgeable, professional and skilled completing the structure in one full workday.  The worst workers were the painters. They were slow, unsupervised, easily distracted, unskilled and as a result very sloppy.  We have stain drippings on our pool deck, existing columns and everywhere in between. 
The grill was improperly installed in the outdoor kitchen and had to be re-set. Originally we went with a stucco exterior for the kitchen to match the exterior of our house but it lacked character against the flagstone counter top and patio stone.  We upgraded to stacked stone and after installation there were areas where grout was missing.  The areas were filled to our satisfaction only after two return trips by the installer.  Ryan Phillips, owner of Backyard Transformations was always willing to make things right when he would finally return our calls but he was not a reliable or consistent communicator and fell totally short with the powered sunscreen.
We feel Backyard Transformations offered the most competitive pricing and for that reason we would consider using them again but not before we discussed and resolved our issues with the company's subcontractors.

The work was delayed by one day due to an equipment issue, but once they arrived they got right to it.  The posts were removed one by one while the deck was supported, the concrete replaced with care  taken to match the original patio. The deck repairs were completed as promised and the entire structure re-stained.  The work took longer than expected but given the finished product I have no complaints. 

Overall, an extremely disappointing experience and a huge waste of my time. Fireplace still broken.

I am in the process of considering the quote. The interaction was good, I've been in contact with the young man who came out and trying to get references for work the company has done in the past. I wanna see the finished product before I decide.

Ryan showed up at my house, very professional. Had business cards and a book of pictures of jobs he had done. He was neat and clean. We agreed on a price and the work to be done. The crews showed up when he said and the job was completed. All his crew were polite and spoke fluent english, we were very pleased being able to communicate our thoughts to them and they to us, that make the job run very smoothly.
