Atlas Appliance Service

My oven broke, we thought it might be the heating element since the oven wasn't getting hot. There was also a short so we shut the power off to the oven. I called Atlas and the repair man came out, he was here less then 5 minutes, never asked me to turn the power on, he said it was the computer not the element. He charged me $69.00 and said he would research it and get back to me tomorrow. Whatever that means. Seriously, how do you know what the problem is without power? He did get back to me and told me they don't make the computer anymore and I need a new oven. My husband called another company, they came out the same day as atlas and they fixed my oven. I asked the for a refund of my $69.00, he told me he would refund it in 30 days. I just paid him yesterday, why do I have to wait 30 days for a refund? I highly doubt I will get one so in 30 days I will be taking him to court. Don't not use this company! Just and FYI, I have written 2 bad reviews in my life, this was number 2.

2 yr. old Samsung Refrigerator Icemaker was on the blink - without even looking at the unit - they ordered a new icemaker which took 3 weeks to arrive-Barry with Atlas arrived and tried to force out the wrong part of the icemaker breaking the refrigerant line to the entire refrigerator as we immediately heard a hiss and smelled Freon - "oops-call Samsung or your homeowners" he advised as he quickly left. The refrigerator is completely unrepairable and has to be scrapped. Contacted Atlas and they REFUSE to accept accountability and will not answer my calls at this point. Have since learned today's appliances are exactly like computers with ALL components running off a system board. Simply checking the board would have identified the problem. AND ALWAYS HAVE a warranty as the "board" part alone is over $800.

Called this company about a year ago for a leaky washin machine after a home re-model.
They were fast and friendly, so I called them again a couple of weeks ago to replace the
water pump. Again, fast and friendly. Having been widowed a couple of years ago, it is
WONDERFUL to find a service company that doesn't screw over a woman that knows
nothing of appliance repair! Great people at Atlas.

I found this contractor through another middleman who posts his business online. I am not sure which it was but I think it was through service magic. anyway when the guy showed up he was very professional. not only did he have has business card magnet, he also gave me tips about applicance maintenance and care. He was super and I have him on the list of professionals to call when I need a home repair. Oh, the guys name is Barry.

See above. He did what he said he would, at the time and for the price he said. He didn't overcharge, and didn't try to sell us anything we didn't need. He did inquire if there was anything else that might need work, which was thoughtful. My dad recommended this guy, and I called despite the other Angie's List reports. You do enough work, you'll have an unhappy customer or two, but he's a professional who does what he says he'll do.

We were a repeat customer for a similar issue on the same washing machine a few years earlier. We had used our washing machine earlier in the morning of the service day. He came out and fixed the agitator, which was a little weak in agitating. Then on our very first use that afternoon, immediately after the "repair", we had a major flooding of the home, which cost us $2000 in repairs. I called to ask him to immediately come out because we were flooding, and he said, "It's not my problem." Well, it is now. Both we and our insurance company are suing Atlas for damages. Needless to say we wouldn't recommend this vendor.

They came out and tried to fix the dishwasher and I ended up just paying them the service fee. I also informed them that I had found them on Angie's List and they had good ratings. A while later, a few things wouldn't work with my dishwasher and they refused to come back out and repair the problem.

They were nice and they came promptly. They got the job done at a reasonable cost. However, they were supposed to order a part for the ice maker and they never did call to follow up on it.

Machine works great! Technician was VERY professional and got the repair done quickly and accurately. Would definitely call them again!

They are a wonderful company and I have used them for many years. My whole family uses them to repair any appliances. They give free estimates and discounts to repeat customers. I had them out to fix my freezer and my fridge over the last little while. We were very pleased with their service again. When they came out to fix my fridge, we discovered that my icemaker had gone completely, so they replaced the icemaker and charged me reasonably, as the icemaker alone wasn't cheap. My family and I have always gotten great service from Atlas and we will continue to call them when we need our appliances repaired.
