When Anthony arrived, he said "this job is huge" and said that grinding one of the stumps alone would normally cost $600, which was more than he quoted us. He didn't ask for more money and went to work. He was here for 2 hours.
After he said that he was done, my husband and I went to look at the outcome, but all we could see was tons of sawdust. Anthony told us that if, after cleaning up the sawdust, we needed him to come back out, he said he would. Anthony once again brought up that it was a much bigger job than he expected, so we paid him $600, which was more than the quote.
My husband and I then cleaned up all the sawdust (10 lawn/leaf bags) to only find that one of the stumps wasn't ground up enough for us to rebuild the fence properly. We called Anthony to let him know and he said he'd return in a week. Two weeks later, we called him again on a Thursday and he agreed to come back the following Sunday or Monday. He never showed up and he stopped answering our phone calls and returning our texts.
If you choose to use him because his quote is lower than others, be forewarned! We had to pay the fence guy an additional $300 to finish grinding the stump so that he could finish the fence.
