The work went very well. The crew was extremely professional. They did an excellent job on the roof and the area around the house was cleaner when they left than when they arrived.

The job went very well and the new roof looks great. The shingles and materials were delivered and two days later the roof replacement started. Roy has four men who work for him with experience ranging from 18 - 26 years. These men were very efficient and did an excellent job. The entire job took only two days which I thought was fantastic for a nearly 3000 square foot house. Roy very patiently answered all of my questions and explained in detail the work being done. I whole-heartedly recommend Comal Roofing.

Although the $150 deal that I purchased was not honored (I received a refund), Comal roofing did inspect the roof and found the problems with the flashing. Repairs were made the following day. The roofer sent to do the job showed me the bad pieces and performed his duties professionally.

We had experienced roof leaks in one area for some time and had dealt with two other roofers who never fixed the problem. We had called Comal Roofing in 2012 and he had dome a repair that fixed the problem.
The leak began again 32 months ago. The
shingles were supposed to be 30 year shingles by a well known manufacturer but had deteriorated after 10 years and were no longer providing protection from rain. Roy, the owner, assisted us with filing a claim with the manufacturer for replacement and helped to remove damaged shingles for return to the manufacturer. He also made temporary repairs after the shingles were removed.
The original contractor had substituted an inferior shingle from another unknown manufacturer so there was no warranty allowance.
Roy and his crew completed the job in 2 days, replaced all damaged roof decking and all roofing components. Clean up was amazing, no debris was left, no damage to yard or landscape.
great job, great employees. I give them my highest recommendation.

The repairs are complete and my roof looks great. The repair person arrived on time and the cost was very fair considering my steep, 2 story roof. I will use this company again when my roof needs replacement or repair.

Comal Roofing made the initial roofing repair in mid-December. Around the 1st week of March we had another high wind storm and my husband noticed shingles off the roof again. He went up on the roof and saw that it was in the same area as the repair in December. He tried for three weeks to reach Comal Roofing via calls and emails, asking them to come out to see the damage. He had to put a tarp over the area to keep out any rain. They had told my husband that it would take some hot days for the shingles to set and I guess we really didn't have any temperatures high enough to completely set the shingles.
I finally sent Comal Roofing an email through my Angie's List account and they emailed me back the very next day. They came out on April 15th to see the damage and left us a quote for $275.00. Last Wednesday I called Mr. Closson to ask why they were not honoring the roofing repair they did in December.
He said that he couldn't verify that it was indeed the very same area that they had repaired earlier. That he had not not a drawing of the roof where the exact repair had been done and that we probably didn't know for sure. I told him my husband had gone up on the roof and that he felt it was the same area and that my husband doesn't lie. Mr. Closson said he doesn't lie either. I told him I just wanted him to honor his initial repair and he said that he would not. That my fight should be with the builder and the origional roofer who did the roof because our roof is no good and we are going to continue to have problems. I would think you could tell new shingles from 8-year old shingles but perhaps not.
In lieu of what Mr. Closson said, I have contacted our insurance company to have an independent adjuster come out to evaluate the roof.. Regardless of that outcome, Mr. Closson should have honored his original work. We will never use Comal Roofing again nor do I recommend it to anyone.

"There was no damage from normal winds , the problem was with the wind storm that blew off thousands of roofs in her neighbor hood and many others .Everyone during and after called there insurance company for storm damage .Don't try to blame us for mother natures storm damage.You should be ashamed of your self , for trying to bully us on Angie's list ..Also her husband knew there be a charge for wind storm and agreed .Some people think they can get freebies with power of the internet by threats just like this lady ...Sorry ....If you look in her comments she even agreed to HIGH WINDS AND STORM DAMAGE .We have thousands of satisfied customers ..."

I called Comal Roofing after another A rated contractor took
weeks to give me an estimate, then he was much higher that the insurance
estimate for repairs on my roof.
The next day, Roy with Comal Roofing came out and gave me a
written estimate that was lower than the insurance estimate for the storm
damage.
Two days later his crew shows up and gets to work
re-securing my metal roof that nearly lifted off. I expected them to spend
maybe 30 to 45 minutes replacing the missing screws but to my astonishment they
went over and above by taking their time and adding extra screws, tightening
every existing screw, and re-caulking the edges and pipes.

My roof has been leaking for some time and I have had two other companies attempt to repair it. Both of the previous roofing companies caulked and spread tar around the chimney but the leak continued to get worse. The two repairmen from Comal Roofing did a thorough job of troubleshooting the problem and found that the underlying decking had rotted in two places. They replaced the damaged wood and applied new shingles that match the existing ones. The repair blends perfectly into the existing roof and the leak has finally been stopped. Thank you to Comal Roofing for a job well done.

Roy has done work for us before. He added a roof to our patio that matches our house. Was very good on that project and we called him to give us a quote on this project.
Roy arrived promptly to review the project with us. He explained all that had to be done. We had asked another carpenter to come by and when he looked at it, he had turned down estimating the project. Roy explained it was complicated but that it could be done. He explained every step of the project in detail and gave us an estimate of how long it would take. He told us he would provide us a cost estimate the next day. We received the contract the next day and signed it.
The project was here promptly on the start date and removed the metal roof. The supplies arrived that day. When the team left they removed all the debris from the day's work. They also removed all their tools and ladders. Roy came by 3-4 times that day to check on the project.
The next day the framers arrived and the new frame was completed. The pitch was exactly what we wanted and the over hang matched the house exactly. When the framers left the work site was completely clean. Roy came by 3-4 times that day to check on the project.
The third day there were 5 or 6 workers here. The project was completed early. To our surprise the inside of the shed had been enclosed, as well. The look of the roof, siding, and finishing touches looked like it had been finished when the house was built. Roy was here most of the day. The work-site was left without debris. They even blew the leaves away.
Each of the teams were very professional, cordial, and tailored to our need. We have 5 dogs. When they needed to go outside for a 'break', the teams ensured that the gates were kept closed to make sure the dogs were kept safe in the backyard. That took extra effort on their part but they did it without complaint.
