Carter Irrigation

If this Chris Carters business then very displeased with his response and added prices that i was not told about, i have a two year warranty and Chris will not respond, just needed him to address a problem. He will not respond, Chris did perform his job well, but he will not respond. Now if i have the wrong Carter company, then i apologize. There are two Carter company’s.

Kevin Carter promised an irrigation system that would water my newly planted front yard trees and my garden beds in my front and back yard. However, the bubblers that are suppose to water the trees do not all pop up and the coverage is less than 20% of their root system. The front garden bed has emitters going off but they are not near the plants they are suppose to be watering. I called Kevin to let him know about the issues. He indicated they would be out to fix these issues. No one has shown up. Kevin has not responded to calls, voice messages or texts sent to him since my check payment cleared. I do not recommend this company for irrigation systems.

Was performed quickly with care taken to avoid plants in flower bed where possible.

I have hired Carter Irrigation to do multiple jobs at my home over the years and they have exceeded my expectations every time! They did a full irrigation install, laid grass, landscaped and created a full flagstone patio and sidewalk with an outdoor kitchen. We were on a massive time crunch and Chris was able to get the irrigation installed and grass laid in record time!! Chris has an eye for using the scenery around him and his creativity never disappoints. I have interacted with all of the Carter family either over the phone or in person and have been treated with nothing but respect. They are all like family to us now! People set high standards for work they pay for but the Carter's also set high standards for themselves in being able to provide their customers with top quality work.

I appreciate the knowledge and ability Chris had when he came over. We thought we had 1 sprinkler head that needed to be replaced as well as determining why the system had an error code. He determined there were 4 heads that needed to be replaced and he replaced those, as well as fixed the issue causing the error. He had the entire job finished in about an 1.5 hours. The only reason I gave them a B for punctuality is I waited at the house all day and he wasn't there until after 5. His service made that a non- issue for me. I will definitely use them again.

Kevin Carter met with me initially and provided a no charge estimate around June 12th.  An installation date was possible within 3 days but we chose to delay installation until receiving approval from our HOA. A septic system on the property required the installation of a back flow device and inspection and permit from the City of San Antonio.  Kevin coordinated with the City and this was accomplished within 2 days of start.  Kevin also coordinated with the landscape company, Greens & Blooms, as we were concurrently landscaping our yard. Kevin and the Landscaper communicated often throughout the job to ensure irrigation installation was timely to meet watering requirements for new plants and grass.  During the job, Kevin provided on site supervision. On job completion, he met with us and provided a detailed overview of our new system to include warranty information and training/communication on programming options for the controller located in the garage.  The entire job (front yard and back) was completed within the course of a week which included necessary coordination with the landscaping effort.  Kevin was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and timely throughout the process.  The proof of their value and our recommendation is growing green and beautiful in our new yard.

Carter Irrigation was referred to us by our landscaper b/c we needed to move some of our sprinkler heads and we also needed to install new sprinklers in our flower bed areas.  We met the owner, Chris, one afternoon and he was extremely kind and professional.  He collaborated with our landscaping company in order to coordinate the dates for his project.  He communicated with us diligently via email.  The entire job was complete in two days and his price quote was very reasonable.  I would recommend Carter Irrigation again to ANYONE!! They were awesome!!  Thanks Chris!!

No show for first appointment. They were supposed to call earlier that day to confirm the appointment and fix the estimated arrival time. The technician did not call to confirm the appointment or even to say he couldn't come that day.

I then rescheduled the appointment with the same stipulation of a call that morning to confirm the appointment and fix the arrival time. The technician failed to call that morning so I had to call their office to confirm the appointment.

When the technician repaired the break in the line, he did not use grease fittings (20 cents each) to waterproof the repair. This was subsequently corrected by another company. While the Technician was talking to me, he took a cell phone call in front of me and complained about another customer being cheap and wanting a better price.

When I asked where the electrical lines were he said he didn't know but could find them with a special piece of equipment for an additional $80 which I agreed to pay because we did not want  to accidently cut another line. This process took all of 5 - 10 minutes just to tell me the lines were basically along the edge of the house, the fence line, and a rock wall. At one point  the Technician said he could not find a signal and blamed it on rocks but this was later identified as another line problem by a different company who found it as part of his routine system diagnostic.

To add insult to injury, the Technician complained to me while he was here about a company who missed an appointment with him and said "he guessed they didn't want his business".
