Ron Houston Renovation

The cabinets are beautiful! They were all custom made. They did a really excellent job! They put in the sinks, electrical and plumbing work. This is the third time I have used them! They have done a great job each time. The thing I really like about them is that they give you a bid, and the bid is exactly what they charge you unless changes are made. The job may take a little bit longer than what you expect because they are very particular about who they use.

Ron Houston's work is fantastic. The estimate was right on, and Ron's guys were efficient, polite, professional and extremely helpful in every way, even helping us with household jobs that weren't included in the estimate. The quality of the work is exceptional, and we could not be happier with what they've done for us. We plan to have them back for more renovation work on our kitchen, downstairs bath and pool room.
The tile, flooring and electrical work is all outstanding, but I have to also give special mention to the sheer brute force work done to build our tornado room -- huge amounts of concrete blocks and steel rebar went into it, and it was an amazing effort for them to finish in such a timely way (right before the Dallas tornados hit in April 2012).
Can't recommend them highly enough!

We got 3 estimates; Ron Houston was just about tied with another company (the 3rd bid was lower). I was vey impressed with Ron's timeliness in coming over to give us a very thorough estimate, his professionalism, and the quality of the vendors they use (listed on their website). We had a deadline (needed to have it finisehd before Christmas, and Ron said they could get the job finished in time). Ron also advised that our tub was just really stained, not damaged, and recommended a special cleanser for me to try. This was great advice and saved us a lot of money - we didn't need to replace the tub after all. Ron had me go to a tile place to choose tile and to a plumbing supply place to choose the shower fixtures, toilet, and shower rod.

The work took a bit longer to get started than I wanted, but it was just before Thanksgiving, so quite understandable. Despite this, they finished on time. The subs were all pretty punctual, cleaned up at the end of each day, and did a great job. Ron's son Aaron is the project manager and did a really good job in keeping me informed and getting everything scheduled.

We are extremely pleased with the finished project - the bathroom looks great. We will definitely call Ron Houston again for our next remodeling project.

They did an excellent job. I have never ever used a contractor that I've had a better experience with. He was very explicit in everything that he did. His price was good because it never changed like it does with some contractors. He had the cost of everything so if I wanted to decrease the price or add an additional thing that was up to me. The quality was very good and I've never had any problems with any of the fixtures. Everybody raves about the tile work. He is very prompt. He has two sons that work with him. One does the marketing end and the other is the foreman supervising the work. He subbed out the plumbing and electrical work and they did a good job. He is very professional. I am going to probably use him in the next month to have him extend my outside porch and did windows or a French door.

My experience with them has been awesome. I had initially picked another company, but they were not able to do the work in my county. Therefore they referred me to a remodeling association website where I found Ron Houston Remodling. They had a great standing with the BBB and a very informative website. I was very impressed with the company and the employees. As in all remodeling progects, you always run into issues and these guys handled those issues wonderfully. Everything was explained to me in detail and they followed thru by correcting anything that went wrong with the construction. They are a little more expensive than others, but I got good quality work for the price and my bathroom is beautiful. My only complaint is that I wish they had a set starting time every morning. Other than that, they have been really good and I will definitely use them again in the future.

Everything went very well. The thing that I liked the most about this company was that unlike other renovations that I've had before, they broke down the cost of everything. They had a range of allowences for everything so that we knew exactly what we were paying for and exactly how much everything was. I also had a choice as to how much I wanted to spend on certain items, such as faucets, and I would still stay within the price range. They didn't tack anything extra on. Ron Houston is very knowledgable about the renovation process and he helped us to plan it out.
