The team at Modern Media are excellent at their craft. Whether you are like myself, kind of lost with regards to Information Technology and smart homes or you are already smart home smart, I can’t recommend the folks at Modern Media enough. They come in and listen to the customer, then they show you things you may be unaware of and before you know it, your home is smarter than you ever thought possible. What I really liked was that I never felt pressured or upsold. The owner, Todd Forgan, provides that personal touch ensuring you understand everything that is being done and can talk technology at the Doctorate level all the way down to the 3rd grade level ensuring anyone can understand his message. My only regret was going with someone else to install my home theater system. Their customer service was cold and they left me feeling like I was a number and not a name. With Modern Media, you feel like family. For me, I had Modern Media purchase and install TV’s on brick fireplaces, improve my home wi-fi systems, add camera systems surrounding my home, install smart light systems throughout the lower level (which are way cooler than I can describe) and added a smart / camera doorbell and smart lock on my front door. The Modern Media team are very courteous of your home and time and were an absolute pleasure to work with. I cannot recommend Modern Media enough if you are considering taking your home to the next level. I just wish more companies responded to customer needs and requests in the same manner as Modern Media. I will be a customer of theirs for a very long time.

My house is 15 years old and much of the equipment in my Media Room was “state of the art” when it was built…. As a result, there was a labyrinth of wires and connections in my Media Room (some of the technology no longer used today) that provided several services to my house and outdoor living areas. I began having problems with the sound in my Media room that seemed relatively minor to me but was preventing my family from using it. I preferred to leave most of the old technology which centrally controlled the house as is and just fix the sound in the media room. In addition, I wanted to add some technology related to a new piece of equipment. After some failed attempts to correctly address the issue with both utility service companies and other Sound and Media Room competitors around the Metroplex, I was growing frustrated. While the people who came out to my house were all nice, no one could appropriately isolate the issue and provide a reasonable solution for an existing system that, with one exception, was working very well. After what felt like an exhaustive search to me, I happened upon Modern Media and owner, operator, Todd Forgan, right in my own backyard. From my initial meeting with Todd, I knew that I had found the right person and company to solve my issues. Todd immediately scheduled a meeting to come out to my house and review the issues. Throughout my experience, both he and his experienced team were prompt, professional, personable and happy to address my family’s needs. We put together a plan to address my issues and (with no sales pressure from Todd) spoke about and implemented some cost effective options to keep and use my existing system and, at the same time, make some minor adjustments to take advantage of newer technology and enhance our overall experience. Once we agreed upon the plan, his team showed up exactly when they said they would and worked to repair and deliver everything that we had discussed. Everyone at Modern Media (Todd, Nick and Mike) were a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. In a nutshell, I’m thrilled with the service that Todd and his team provided. They took the time to understand our issues, worked with us to put together a plan, delivered on that plan in a timely and professional manner and provided us with contact numbers so they could immediately respond to any issues or confusion that we may have had with operating any of our equipment. This is a rare occasion in today’s world where a business does exactly what it promises, when it promises to do it and stands behind the work that it does. My family will be using Modern Media again and recommending Todd and team to our friends and neighbors.

We would highly recommend Todd Forgan and Modern Media. We have been delighted with the results of our new AV system in our house. Todd and his crew were extremely professional and so nice to work with. Todd is extremely knowledgeable and very detail oriented. He took a big project and made it simple to understand. He gave us a very detailed quote and we felt very comfortable with what we were spending our money on. He gave us a timeline and stuck to it. Out of our whole remodel project this has been the easiest and most reliable part. We love our new surround-sound system. We love our new theater and family room sound and image quality. We cannot say enough as to how pleased we are, and we would work with him and his team anytime.

Excellent. They were prompt on their schedule. I had already purchased the wall mount and the guys were experts in mounting everything with little input from me. They even gave suggestions to the location of the mount. I appreciate they did not try to upsell me anything and did exactly what I asked for. Very easy in and out service. This is our second time with Todd and his team. We had them do a complete inside/outside media entertainment system for us in 2013. System was awesome and service unmatched. We had a recent lightning event cook our complete system. Todd and his team were at the house and had a plan before insurance could even show up. The new system is as amazing as the first and all done in one day. I had some follow-up remote programming needs and Todd had the updates to me in less than 24 hours. These guys are the BEST.....PERIOD. Don't waste your time shopping around, Todd and the Modern Media team are simply the best.

Initially, after speaking and visiting with a large media retailer, we decided to look elsewhere. We found Modern Media through the reviews, and gave the owner Todd Forgan a call. Todd was very receptive to our needs, listened to what we were trying to design, and recommended an excellent contractor to assist with the build. All in all, everything turned out exceptional, and the crew was superb. Todd was very quick to provide a highly detailed quote which outlined all aspects of the equipment and labor. From constant clean up to installation to making sure we knew how to use the equipment, all was first class. We would absolutely recommend and would not hesitate to use Modern Media again in the future.

I shopped around vendors and went with Todd and his team at Modern Media. Todd gave me the most confidence in his initial visit with his expertise, patience with all my questions, and listening to my needs to give me the best performance for my individual setup and budget. I recently built a new home and Todd Forgan, owner of Modern Media, was with me every step of the way to design and subsequently install my structured wiring, wireless network, audio and 4K video systems. Todd is extremely knowledgeable in each of these areas. His suggestions took into account my requirements and budget. The installation went smoothly. His two technicians are also very knowledgeable. Todd and team were great. Everything they said they would do, they did it, on time, and with high quality. I was traveling when they installed everything, so my wife was there to learn how to use the system. When I got home late at night, she was in bed, so I texted Todd to ask one question, and he called me to walk me through everything. Great Service is what differentiates these types of companies to me, and Todd and team provided the best service!

I can’t say enough about the Modern Media team. Todd and Nick are the best at what they do and everything went smoothly from start to finish. Todd is very professional and knowledgeable. He gave great advice on what set up was best for me and gave me various packages to work with. After making my decision to go with Modern Media, everything was clearly communicated and the time frame involved. Nick did an excellent job with the main installation and thoroughly shows how everything works. I couldn’t be happier with the appearance and sound of my new system. You can get consultations with the bigger names out there but I can guarantee you they will not match what these guys can do.

Outstanding ! Very knowledgeable, good suggestions, clear communication and support tools that I found to be both unique and quite helpful. For example, Todd had black cloth rectangles the size of various TV's (65", 75", etc) that he used to give you an idea of what size was best for a particular location. He also provided a 3D graphic of the media room layout showing equipment and speaker placement. Another thing with which I am truly delighted is that he agreed to load all my CD's (about 470) into the hard drives used by Sonos. With all we have going on it is likely that I never would have gotten this done. his attention to detail is excellent as he noticed that a 220 line was running right next to the main network line in the attic, which could cause significant disruption, so he noted to separate them. On top of his pleasant demeanor Todd is also a cyclist, so therefore a good guy.

We had a lot of remodeling happening at the same time and the coordination with the cabinet maker was great. Top quality components that make a huge difference in the listening experience. While the system is complex - operating it is not. Todd spent the time to understand what I wanted to accomplish and he provided the guidance to design and select the appropriate equipment. The remotes and APPs are set up for simple activation. Install went smoothly with very good communication. (Base on our remodeling experience I have to stress that this is important). Entire team was a pleasure to work with. Bottom line is Modern Media knows what they are doing.

Todd and Nick were very professional and knew exactly what needed to be done. Installation was fast and excellent. Everything worked as planned and expected.

The installers arrived on the agreed upon date and were actually a few minutes early! They made sure I knew exactly what was going to happen over the next two days and then got to work immediately. They relocated wiring and placement of speakers which required some sheetrock repair. They did the repair and painted it the next day after the patch had dried. You cant even tell where the patches are located now so good work by the installation team. They put together a rack and installed all of the electronics on to the rack in a very orderly fashion and rolled it into the closet. I decided on the screen and projector option mainly due to price. I got a screen where you can locate the front speakers behind the screen for more realistic sound. After everything was installed, tested, and calibrated, they got my wife and I in the room for a demo and we were certainly happy with the results. The picture is amazing and you almost feel like you are in a theater with the 100" screen that was installed. The Atmos sound is incredible and really enhances the experience when you play a blu ray with Atmos sound. I had them install a universal remote since there are several pieces of electronics that need to work together. The remote was fine the first day but quit working on the second day which didn't give me a very good feeling! I called Todd and he came out the next day to take a look and after about an hour or so, he decided the remote had gone bad and simply got another remote and replaced it with a brand new one. No hesitation to replace it as soon as he did what he could to make the original one work. No problems since then and we love our Media room. Todd and his guys are truly professionals and I would not hesitate to recommend them for your Media room

We had a wonderful experience with Modern Media. Todd talked through our needs and provided competitive pricing, using as much of our existing equipment as possible. His team was knowledgeable and professional and did a great job installing our home theater system. We were most impressed with Todd's responsiveness and willingness to meet with us in person during all phases of our project. We dealt with many vendors and contractors while building our new home and were frustrated by the lack of customer service with most of them. It was refreshing to work with Modern Media and be treated as though they wanted our business. We would definitely recommend them!

Modern Media did an excellent job installing my home theater system. I called them to schedule a visit in order to get a quote and Todd came out within a week. He was very knowledgeable and helpful, as we talk to what I was looking for. He gave me multiple suggestions based on the set up of my living room and talked through the benefits of each option in detail. Todd provided me with a written quote within a day and was able to have the work completed in less than a week. Mike and Nick were the guys who completed the job, they did wonderful work without having to interrupt me or my wife's work schedule. I met them at my house and let them in, then they completed the work and gave me a 20 minutes heads up of when they would be done, so I could go check out the work. My wife and I are extremely happy with the surround sound system and the work Modern Media did. We would recommend them to anyone and plan on using them again in the future.

I am very pleased with the completed job which included recommendations for the location of the TV, purchase and installation of the TV (Sony) and sound bar Klitsch), and removal of an old, heavy TV. The cost for labor was very reasonable and included a discount from Angies List. This was an excellent installation, with all wires and equipment hidden, including the Directv Genie mini. They programmed a Universal remote, and everything works from this single remote.

The experience with Modern Media was excellent. Todd was prompt in setting up an appointment to discuss my needs and put together an excellent and creative design. Todd offered up suggestions that were helpful but was careful to make sure he understood my preferences. The installation was very nicely done and Todd and his team were helpful in making sure I understood how to operate the system and answered all of my questions. I would highly recommend.
