We bought our home nearly 19 years ago with original “builders” kitchen, bathrooms, etc. I also needed updating and expert advice on interior design for rest of the house. One glitch, I had a tight budget! Karen came up w a floor plan for my kitchen that included a gorgeous grand island since i entertain for large family with beautiful updated floor tile and colors that were soft, clean and gorgeous! I hated my kitchen before and now i love it!! I receive so many compliments on how beautiful it is. She also picked colors, artwork, lighting for my family, dining and formal living rooms. Everything is a reflection of me and my taste but so much better because she knows exactly how to pull each room together to make sure it all flows. My master bathroom and closet was another project she put together perfectly. She has an amazing eye for colors and can look at a room and figure out what will work right down to the exact size of cabinets, showers, tubs, etc. Every room Karen updated and designed is more beautiful than the next. I used to be so embarrassed of my outdated poorly decorated home, but now I love living in it and showing it off! So when you ask how did it go - simple answer - better than I could have imagined! I cannot recommend Karen and House of Holland enough!

Karen is very creative. She is easy to work with and very professional. She is organized and thorough. I enjoyed working with her.

Karen did an amazing job helping me update my existing home with new flooring, fresh paint, lighting, some new furniture, all while mixing in some heirloom family pieces into the design. She kept to an excellent budget and timeline, was creative with better arrangement of rooms, even helped with swapping an oversized formal living into a dining room! I loved her process. Her contractors were excellent and trustworthy!

I am currently using Karen Chidiac for the 5th time in 7 years. She has helped me on several remodels, moves, and new houses. She is extremely talented and very professional. She really tries to understand the client’s style and lifestyle, and then she builds fantastic creations around that. House of Holland is definitely 5 stars!

Great! Karen has an eye for color and was able to pull all my materials together into a cohesive scheme. It turned out fantastic. She was so easy to work with and flexible with my busy schedule.

She did an awesome job and I even referred her to a client of mine; she did some work for him, too. She came in, listened to what I needed and was looking for and shopped for antiques. Karen would text me when she was at an antique store shopping for a different client, asking me whether I liked certain items she found. She would bring them back. She came up with materials swatches and paint swatches; she did everything, it was great. She followed up; later. When she is out she still sends me pictures of things she finds, thinking they might look good in my office and asking whether I like them. I really enjoyed working with her.
