Highland Landscaping

$80k+ for a new lawn / landscaping. A lot is dead, has been for months, and it's literally impossible to get someone to come out for replacements. I'm told a date, then have to follow up on why it wasn't done multiple times. Drainage doesn't work properly as half our yard pools with water, even after multiple attempts to fix. Highly recommend going with another company, but not sure if others are better.

Called to schedule appointment for someone to come out and bid a hardscape/landscape project at my house. They never returned my call. When I called again I was told that it would be a month before anyone could come out. A month! Really? They were referred to me by a friend.

Complete landscape design and periodic maintenance of 1 acre lot for last two years. Highland maintains perennials and conducts year round seasonal updates of annuals. Very responsive to emails. Quickly replaced plants that did not survive at no additional cost. Also has very knowledgeable professional irrigation maintenance reducing our water use. Irrigation technician makes seasonal adjustments taking the guesswork out. Third landscape company we have contracted in 5 years and by far the best service! Price is reasonable for the high quality of plant knowledge combined with excellent service. I would highly recommend their periodic regular maintenance which includes trimming. We enjoy our yard more than ever! Guests often comment it is like a visit to a botanical park. I first questioned the cost of periodic maintenance (which is averaged over 12 months) but have found we are paying less then what we spent with prior "as requested" service from other landscapers with a much better "hands free" service. Felt original complete redesign, including removal and replacement of large amounts of overgrown old plants and topsoil, was a bit high but this included many, many perennials and drought resistant bushess. After the second year, costs of optional seasonal annuals are very reasonable. In retrospect we have no doubt the initial investment was well worth the initial expense. Work crews are very efficient, respectful and are careful not to interfere with family. Typically 3-5 landscapers arrive, quietly let us know they are working and completely service the property in a short time. We love our gardens and yard intending to continue using Highland Landscaping service for years to come!

I had another company come out and they did gage full job for $2590. It looks great too.

Always impressed.  The gardeners are in and out quickly and work is always completed correctly.  Russell is excellent with communication.  So professional and polite.

Did not use them because they never followed up and were over priced

I originally found Highland Landscaping from a sign at the Chick-fil-a in Southlake with their landscaping of the commercial property. I had Ian come to my property to evaluate and estimate a new landscaping plan since I had removed several large cottonwoods from the property that exposed the existing (and shade loving) landscape to a lot of sun. He gave me a 3-phase plan to revamp the areas for more appropriate plantings and better drainage from the house. I was very pleased with the results in the front and back yards and hired Highland Landscaping to perform bi-monthly service on my property to trim bushes, mow grass, fertilize and treat. I've also had them refresh the front yard with seasonal color each fall and spring to the delight of my neighbors who love to see what Highland Landscaping is using each season. My trust in their services has extended to sprinkler maintenance and repair when necessary.
Ian has built a seasoned and experienced team of landscaping professionals that are knowledgeable in their area of planting, maintaining, sprinklers, trees, etc. He also has established a front office with very pleasant and knowledgeable professionals that are proactive in maintenance and seasonal services. It is always a pleasure to work with Highland Landscaping!
