We have had two pools built by Claffey. The first in Colleyville and the second six years at our home in Argyle.  Both experiences were excellent.  Their supervisors do a great job keeping the job on track and us informed.  Price was not the cheapest, but not the highest either.    
Why I'm writing this review now is to comment on their service, which has been great.  Our pool is no longer under warranty, and we haven't had many problems, but when issues arise, I just call their warranty office and they get someone out to fix the issue quickly.  Their service people are vey qualified and don't add a bunch of items to drive up the cost.

Service on the front end (lack of response) tells me business in disarray and wont be getting any of my pool remodel dollars.
Best to know it up front.

Fine at first. Make sure you completely understand the construction contract in terms of Warrenty, issue resolution and general indemnification.

Made an appointment for Claffey Pools to come and quote the construction of a pool and outside kitchen.The sales person Suzie Grossman, ended up lost ( and I leave in a very residential area, not countryside) which had me driving 20 min to go and get her. After taking a look at my house she scheduled a meeting in her Southlake office so that we could go over the 3D presentation and quote. The day of the meeting, and after calling her several times to her cell phone, she simply said she was too busy to take any other projects and that she needed at least two more weeks, adding also she hoped we had other bids! Lol! After asking her why she had not said this before the day of the meeting, she wished me luck and hanged up on me. The lack of professionalism showed by this sales team member is amazing and I surely hope this is not a reflection of Claffey pools as a company but won't take the risk.

They refinished the pool, changed some pool equipment, redid the tile, change the pump, and added a pool sweep. They basically updated the pool. The pool was 20 years old and so they brought it up to speed. I haven't had any issues. I had four quotes, they weren't the lowest but they were the best.

Communication is top notch during the proposal phase and during the remodel.
Crew showed up on time and were pleasant, clean and respectful of property.
Crew was experienced and cleaned up each day. They did not leave a big mess, swept our driveway etc.
At least 1 person on the crew could speak English
Supervisor would inspect the job site occasionally. 
Crew finished the job on time. 
The project has to go according to our specifications and we micro managed everything to assure the finished product is what we want, have to say the crew / company dealt with us pretty good in regards to that.. They go the distance to make the customer happy. 
There were no surprise charges. What was agreed from the beginning in the contract stayed that way.
We are very happy with how beautiful our pool looks now. Huge improvement. 
Tip: Do not pay the balance until the job is complete. It was almost complete and we were asked for the balance. I explained not until the job is complete and he agreed. It is not appropriate to ask for balance of payment until job is 100% completed.
Tip: Take charge of what stones/rock go where and how its cut. Your the boss you hired them. Or provide a good photo to the workers of how you want it to look,

Perfectly. We never even had a chance to ask what was next. Construction manager Pete kept us informed of what step was coming next and when. The initial design was perfect, with us only making very minor adjustments. The pool Claffey built was our third. We had expectations that there would be disappointments, surprises and delays with this pool as had been the case with two other pool builders. We never had any disappointments...only delights...all the way through the start-up process. The experience was the single most positive experience my wife and i have ever had with any service provider. We only have one regret. That is we didn't have Claffey build the pool at our previous house.

They built my pool 17 years ago and have maintained it since then. They are not always the cheapest but they do a very good job.

Representative came out and looked at/measured property. Went over needs. Scheduled appointment for the next week...cancelled appt due to emergency and never rescheduled. Waste of our time. Notified admin/mgmt...no followup. Wen were looking for a free form pooll with spa/outdoor kitchen and fireplace/firepit. Have seen built claffey pools and they looked really good...unfortunately if they cant even get the bid to us we are hesitant if they could get the pool done on budget/timeline. Sorry it didnt work out.

The remodel went very well. Duffy was our sales rep and Shawn was the construction supervisor. Everything was explained upfront and we were kept apprised of the timing of the work. Shawn was always available to answer questions. When a couple of issues came up that we were not expecting or not happy with, they were either explained or fixed very quickly. We would use them again if needed.

My wife and I are in the process of redoing our backyard to include a
pool. While getting quotes and proposals from several Pool companies,
we engaged Claffey pools. Every step of the process was like pulling
teeth - repeated call backs were required to set up each appointment.
We
finally got to the point of the first design review where Claffey
presented their proposal. The design was close to what we had
requested, and was very detailed. In addition the price was in line
with quotes that we had received from other pool companies. We had a
couple design changes that we requested and we were suppose to get a
follow up call later that week, unfortunately almost a month later we
still have not had a call back.
After going through this multiple
times we were unwilling to go forward with Claffey is this was the
quality of attentiveness during the sales portion of our pool.

Duffey Hennessy was our sales representative. He was straight forward and helpful with ideas to accomplish our renovation. Shawn was our project superintended and he was especially good about setting our expectations and communicating on scheduling as the work progressed. The job was completed on schedule and on budget with no hassles.

Claffey built us an inground pool and they did a wonderful job! Mike Farley was our sales person and he designed the perfect pool for us. They started on time and even finished a week early. The entire project only took 3 weeks. Paul was the construction supervisor and he did a great job keeping us informed every step of the way. They showed up on time and all of the workers were extremely professional and friendly. They cleaned up every day and even put our fence back up each night so that our dogs could go out into the back yard. There was not a day that Paul did not come by to make sure all work was completed properly.

Rob was the person who took over after the pool was built and gave us a thorough 2 hour pool school and after 2 months of swimming we are so pleased.
I would (and have) recommend Claffey Pools to anyone looking to build a pool. We do not have one complaint!

They did a great job. It was a pretty expensive project to build. They come back and do service also. The service part of it is good. They respond quickly. The guys come out and know what they're doing. They do whatever tune ups they need to do and get everything back in working order. They're very reasonable. I thought the price was fair. When you call, someone is out there within 24 hours to see what is going on. They are on time. If they say they're going to show up at this day and time, I find that they are there.

My husband and I dropped into their and quot;showroomand quot; in Southlake. The lady in there was extremely unfriendly. We tried to ask to see the showroom, she responded by practically wanting us to leave. When I insisted, she reluctantly handed me a brochure...what duhh??
She made us feel as potential welfare recipients !!! UNACCEPTABLE !!!

Initially, they were very responsive and came out to Plano to take a look at our backyard and discuss various options that would work with thespace we have. They had some great ideas and suggestions and said they could draw up a few different ideas and proposals for us to look at and determine which solution fit best with our living style and expectations. Great first impression! Then, we never heard from them again. They didn't return any of our phone calls or emails. I would suggest using another company that might be more interested in your business.

They have done work in Plano and told us that was within their footprint.

It went perfectly and according to plan. They spent a lot of time with me upfront to help me decide exactly what we wanted. I had two other bids and Claffey Pools was very similar to one and less expensive than the other. Once we signed a contact to do the work, they told me the process from start to finish and completed all the work as planned and on time. They were extremely professional, completed the work as they committed to do, and were very responsive to answering all of my questions. It was a totally seamless process. Our pool is beautiful and I would recommend them to anyone wanting to redo their pool.

Wonderful! They did a great job. They were just a little bit more expensive but they did great quality work. They actually gave us a warranty on their work which we used when a portion of the tile came up. They came right out and fixed the problem, right away. Their worth a little extra money.

I was pleased and the have outstanding service.
