Claffey Pools

We have had two pools built by Claffey. The first in Colleyville and the second six years at our home in Argyle.  Both experiences were excellent.  Their supervisors do a great job keeping the job on track and us informed.  Price was not the cheapest, but not the highest either.    
Why I'm writing this review now is to comment on their service, which has been great.  Our pool is no longer under warranty, and we haven't had many problems, but when issues arise, I just call their warranty office and they get someone out to fix the issue quickly.  Their service people are vey qualified and don't add a bunch of items to drive up the cost.

Fine at first. Make sure you completely understand the construction contract in terms of Warrenty, issue resolution and general indemnification.

They refinished the pool, changed some pool equipment, redid the tile, change the pump, and added a pool sweep. They basically updated the pool. The pool was 20 years old and so they brought it up to speed. I haven't had any issues. I had four quotes, they weren't the lowest but they were the best.

Communication is top notch during the proposal phase and during the remodel.
Crew showed up on time and were pleasant, clean and respectful of property.
Crew was experienced and cleaned up each day. They did not leave a big mess, swept our driveway etc.
At least 1 person on the crew could speak English
Supervisor would inspect the job site occasionally. 
Crew finished the job on time. 
The project has to go according to our specifications and we micro managed everything to assure the finished product is what we want, have to say the crew / company dealt with us pretty good in regards to that.. They go the distance to make the customer happy. 
There were no surprise charges. What was agreed from the beginning in the contract stayed that way.
We are very happy with how beautiful our pool looks now. Huge improvement. 
Tip: Do not pay the balance until the job is complete. It was almost complete and we were asked for the balance. I explained not until the job is complete and he agreed. It is not appropriate to ask for balance of payment until job is 100% completed.
Tip: Take charge of what stones/rock go where and how its cut. Your the boss you hired them. Or provide a good photo to the workers of how you want it to look,

Perfectly. We never even had a chance to ask what was next. Construction manager Pete kept us informed of what step was coming next and when. The initial design was perfect, with us only making very minor adjustments. The pool Claffey built was our third. We had expectations that there would be disappointments, surprises and delays with this pool as had been the case with two other pool builders. We never had any disappointments...only delights...all the way through the start-up process. The experience was the single most positive experience my wife and i have ever had with any service provider. We only have one regret. That is we didn't have Claffey build the pool at our previous house.

They built my pool 17 years ago and have maintained it since then. They are not always the cheapest but they do a very good job.

The remodel went very well. Duffy was our sales rep and Shawn was the construction supervisor. Everything was explained upfront and we were kept apprised of the timing of the work. Shawn was always available to answer questions. When a couple of issues came up that we were not expecting or not happy with, they were either explained or fixed very quickly. We would use them again if needed.

Duffey Hennessy was our sales representative. He was straight forward and helpful with ideas to accomplish our renovation. Shawn was our project superintended and he was especially good about setting our expectations and communicating on scheduling as the work progressed. The job was completed on schedule and on budget with no hassles.

Claffey built us an inground pool and they did a wonderful job! Mike Farley was our sales person and he designed the perfect pool for us. They started on time and even finished a week early. The entire project only took 3 weeks. Paul was the construction supervisor and he did a great job keeping us informed every step of the way. They showed up on time and all of the workers were extremely professional and friendly. They cleaned up every day and even put our fence back up each night so that our dogs could go out into the back yard. There was not a day that Paul did not come by to make sure all work was completed properly.

Rob was the person who took over after the pool was built and gave us a thorough 2 hour pool school and after 2 months of swimming we are so pleased.
I would (and have) recommend Claffey Pools to anyone looking to build a pool. We do not have one complaint!

They did a great job. It was a pretty expensive project to build. They come back and do service also. The service part of it is good. They respond quickly. The guys come out and know what they're doing. They do whatever tune ups they need to do and get everything back in working order. They're very reasonable. I thought the price was fair. When you call, someone is out there within 24 hours to see what is going on. They are on time. If they say they're going to show up at this day and time, I find that they are there.

It went perfectly and according to plan. They spent a lot of time with me upfront to help me decide exactly what we wanted. I had two other bids and Claffey Pools was very similar to one and less expensive than the other. Once we signed a contact to do the work, they told me the process from start to finish and completed all the work as planned and on time. They were extremely professional, completed the work as they committed to do, and were very responsive to answering all of my questions. It was a totally seamless process. Our pool is beautiful and I would recommend them to anyone wanting to redo their pool.

Wonderful! They did a great job. They were just a little bit more expensive but they did great quality work. They actually gave us a warranty on their work which we used when a portion of the tile came up. They came right out and fixed the problem, right away. Their worth a little extra money.

Duffy the sales representative was nice as well as the crew. Sean, the Supervisor over the crew was extremely helpful. He would contact me to let me know what his crew would be doing on the days that they were to come to my home. His crew made a mistake in one corner of the pool with the stonework, I contacted Sean and he assured me it will be corrected and it was. This is a very good company, my over-all experience went well.

We had an in ground pool installed by Claffey in 2007. Shaun who was our contact was absolutely incredible. We felt they did a good job and loved our pool UNTIL Leaks in the pool, they fixed them the first couple of times but urged us to seek a "more permanent repair". Seriously? it's a new pool! and we did fix it "more permanently" with a different company. Dec 2009 Freeze thermostat went out, paid it no problem - no warranty, a little concerned about so many problems but still believing it was a good company. At the same time we brought up the fact that our sheer descent was leaking, to check it out was 250, to fix it was $630. We agreed and it was scheduled. However the day it was scheduled they called us around 5pm that day and said it was too cold - yea we figured out already you weren't coming. Didn't hear from you for a week then AT 6:15 PM on a Friday night I SEE SOMEONE MOVING IN MY BACKYARD. Yep, they came to fix it, we turned the lights on for them but this will be the LAST time I ever have anything to do with Claffey pools.

We took our Polaris in on a Saturday morning and it was ready on the following Monday. We thought the price was very fair and the performance of the Polaris is like new.

They gave us many choices and recommendations. Our project coordinator, Shaun, was great and answered every question that we had. The rainy weather held things up a bit but in the end the we have the pool of our dreams. The changes we made we paid for at the time so there was no questions about the pricing being different.

They did a fantastic job. The waterfalls are set up so that water flows down from one of the rock walls into the Jacuzzi and from the Jacuzzi into the pool. The entire time they were there they were very punctual, professional, and made sure I was completely satisfied. I made the right decision when I went with them and would highly recommend them to anyone serious about pools.

The work they did was excellent and the site was kept clean. They were a very good company to work with. They even took us out to see several pools they had install. I would highly recommend them.

I was very satisfied with the quality and the workmanship of this company. They did what they proposed they were going to do and we actually added on things during the work that they completed perfectly.

GREAT QUALITY POOL. A LITTLE EXPENSIVE AS COMPARED TO OTHER BIDS WE RECEIVED, QUALITY WON OUT OVER PRICE.
