We bought a new house and replaced the entire first floor flooring with vinyl plank. This was a large job, about 1,600 square feet - kitchen, living room, dining room, bathrooms, utility room, master bedroom, master bath and master closet. We were very excited to have new flooring in our new house. Our experience with Carpet One couldn't have been worse. The quote they gave us included an estimated total charge of $48 for floor leveling cement. That's a total of one bag of floor leveling cement. One bag might cover a very small bathroom. Who estimates on a quote one bag for 1,600 square feet? Carpet One does, so that the quote looks lower. The final cost of the floor leveling cement was $1,056. Add $1,000 to my final bill that I did not plan on. Thanks Carpet One. The quote also indicated that they would pull the toilet and a pedastal sink. It did not say they would not reinstall them. If they take toilets, why can't they reinstall them or at least state such on the quote? I called a local, well-known plumber and his charge to reinstall two toilets was $500. Add $500 to the quote and the final cost of the project. Thanks Carpet One. Here's the biggie! Once again the very inaccurate quote states, "baseboard - pull and reset." The total cost to do that was $1,72.50. They pulled off almost 400 square feet of baseboard. When the crew pulled off the baseboards, nearly every piece broke (some of them broke in half). That didn't matter to Carpet One. They reinstalled broken baseboard that was broken in half, didn't match at the corners, etc. Are you kidding me? Who does that? Add $2,500 to the cost of the project for me to hire an outside company to install new baseboards. Thanks Carpet One. Our experience with trying to get someone from Carpet One to address our concerns were similar to many of the other reviews here - nonexistent.

Install was professional and done as promised, but required follow up because of missing materials. Numerous phone calls for status were not returned, and finally the material was provided and installed about 30 days later after repeated trips to the store for status.

We loved the quality of work, the choices and the customer service we received from CarpetOne. Noah Begley was our primary point of contact and he was great to work with. He ensured that such a large and disruptive process went smoothly, with no hitch. The work was completed on time and within the estimated budget. Noah's responsiveness and follow-up, as well as response from other Carpet One employees, ensured that we turned to them when we needed a large custom rug and rug pad for our family room before the furniture was moved back in.
The entire process from selecting the hardwood to getting the estimates to scheduling the work was done on time and in a professional manner. Noah was very keen on ensuring that our requirements were met in terms of quality of work, type of product and timelines. Overall, a great experience and we will certainly not hesitate to go to them for any other flooring work in the future.

The salesman, Wes Maddern, was knowledgeable and helpful in selecting the flooring for home. They were prompt in ordering and installing the flooring. Milton supervised a crew of three workers, The workers had to remove carpet and baseboards and scrape out the old vinyl flooring under the carpet. They leveled the floors prior to installing the hardwood floors. They did an excellent job installing the flooring and it turned out beautiful. The crew also installed new baseboards in all three rooms which turned out beautiful.

After the workers finished the job, the workers cleaned up the inside and outside of our home.

They gave different selection and they also required to use some carpet to match what we already had but they were not able to match that. We have different problem in the carpet and they were not able to fix that. They were not professional. They did not follow our instructions. Basically we were not able to communicate with them and it was communicated through a manager who was very unhelpful, uncooperative and we would not recommend tem for anything. We had Angie's List and some other recommendations to use them but we don' think they were accurate. Basically they told us this is what they had done and we got to live with it. The manager also told that they couldn't replace and the guys couldn't do it.

I spent quite a bit of time researching reviews online- Angies list and others. Price was not the single motivating factor but certainly near the top of the list for me. We used Carpet One about 12 years ago in another house and were please so I included them in my search. After looking and talking with friends that have had flooring done, we chose to go with Carpet One again.
The sales office at Rufe Snow and Loop 820 is a little disorganized. Don was eager to show me certain selections that he knew were good sellers or on sale or highly rated. When I specifically asked about something I found through the Carpet One website, ti took a little digging to find. The store may be in a temporary location as they moved here from the store on Airport Freeway due to construction and now Loop 820 is under construction. The store is in a large strip center with very few tenants. We only ever saw our sales person Don and one other person who Don described as the store manager. We were in the store three times and only saw the manager on site one time and even then just for a few minutes as he said he was going to a doctors appointment.
The installation of the tile took two days and the carpet one day. They did a great job moving all the furniture and putting it back. Including taking the beds apart and putting them back together. We have a very heavy California King memory foam mattress and there was no extra charge.
The day after the tiling was complete we noticed one tile that wasn't level with the rest- if you ran your foot across it, you would likely stub your toe! I called and they came back out within hours, used a saw to cut the grout, removed the tile and reset it level with the rest.
I'm not sure but I think the tile contractor that Carpet One used sub-contracted the job. I don't mind so much because they did a great job, but if the contractor can afford to sub the job, maybe I paid too much? Perhaps the contractor was busy and had to sub it so I don't want to jump to conclusions. The job was started the day after I received a call from the Carpet One warehouse that they received the tile from Houston (they did not have the tile we selected in stock but honored the sale price).

The insurance covered half of it. The whole cost was between $5-6,000. They were really easy to deal with. We had never done this before so we didn't know what to expect. The crew that came was very professional. They showed up on time and worked quickly. We really didn't have any complaints. They were a little expensive but we went for really high quality laminate so you get what you pay for. It was definitely worth the money. We would use them again.

The installers from Carpet One Company did a great job. They didn't push to sell anything. We told them our budget and they gave us a good selection. We got everything that we asked for. They installed it really well. They didn't leave any mess. After they were finished, they picked up everything neatly. They moved the furniture and put it back after installation. Everything was just done as it should be. There were no problems of any kind. I would use them again in the future.

We called and they told us that they had moved to Lewisville. We found the flooring that we wanted and told them what we wanted and brought samples home. They sent a gentleman, Orlando, to our home to measure. There was a misunderstanding about what we wanted done in our home and they said that Orlando would call us back to remeasure but we never heard back from him. I called to let them know about the samples that we still had and they requested us to drive back to Lewisville to bring them back.

The service was performed with the utmost professionalism. I worked with Tommy, one of their sales reps who was always following up with me, trying to give me the best deal, and making sure I was satisfied with the quality of the work. I have seen reviews where the pricing is considered high but for the level of service, they deliver a quality product with minimal hassle.

They were very nice and polite. We just didn't use them because their estimate wasn't as good and they would not move the grand piano. They offered to pay up $300 to have a professional piano moving company come in and dismantle the piano and move it and take it outside but I didn't want to do that.

I went there to get prices on carpet. The sales person was fantastic! I didn't use them because the prices were too high, but I got a great education from the salesman who could not have been nicer and more informative. I would try to use them on a future job if I really wanted to spend a little more.

As far as I can tell, they did a very good job. This started out as an insurance claim, so it was not an ordinary experience at all. Most of the cost was paid for by the insurance. I didn’t go and purchase it in the ordinary way. I had to go and select the tile, and I was very impressed by the amount of things they had in their showroom. They came on time and finished the work on time. I went ahead and had the grout sealed since it was the kitchen floor. They were professional. I would have no problem using them again for flooring.

I was replacing carpet and tile in anticipation of listing my house for sale. I spoke to Tommy who was excellent in steering me toward what I needed, not what was the most pricey. He took the time to understand my needs and goals and didn't try to oversell me. The work was completed on the days scheduled and when a slight problem with the tile arose, I called Tommy and he personally saw to it that it was fixed promptly. He even steered me to a coupon for $100 off...excellent service and a really nice guy!

I went to Carpet One after reading several good reviews on Angie's List. We spoke to Tom Crowl, and he suggested the Mohawk Strike Back line of carpet since this was a rental condo and would be less expensive. We chose an in-stock neutral color, and scheduled the installation for two weeks later. The two men who came to install the carpet appeared to be contractors rather than employees, but they did a reasonably good job of installing the carpet. It took three hours, and they left after answering our questions. Tom even sent us a "Thank you" box of cookies a week later.
