They are fast and efficient. I saw them today and they repaired the leaking outdoor faucet. It cost $275 and “A” across the board.

If you haven't tried Berkey's yet, you need to. I highly recommend their BAM Plan which runs $99.00/yr. I take advantage of the Air, Heat and Plumbing tune ups regularly. The service people are responsive, prompt and thorough. I have been their customer for over 10 yrs and will not use anyone else.

Superbowl Sunday morning all the drains and toilets in my house backed up. I called several plumbers and no one could make it to my house same day. Dewayne from Berkeys called me back, worked with my schedule and was able to get to my house same day. It was not just a Sunday, but Superbowl Sunday, and it was horrible freezing wet weather outside. Dewayne told me the cost upfront, which was expensive, but hey, nobody else was wanting to come to my house that day. Dewayne was friendly, punctual, professional and got the job done in under an hour. He also scoped the pipe, showed me the problem I was having with tree roots in my pipe and gave me a quote for a future longer term remedy. I can't say enough good things about Dewayne. This company was expensive, I can't defend the price, but they showed up when no one else would and fixed the problem. If I was in the same situation again, I would definitely give them a call back. In a non-emergency situation, I would probably shop the price more.

1) Dispatch charge to my house; $69....told person I had a coupon for $49.95...ignored me. Wanted to sell me a one year Berkey's service agreement, both dispatcher and serviceman put to sales pitch on me. 2) Charge me to connect a water hose to my hot water heater in the garage and drain it; $164.14 3) Replace the plastic water heater drain valve with a metal drain valve;$274.33 I admit it was a Saturday call....was supposed be there between 3-7 pm; arrived around 8 pm. No problem for me, but he definitely did not want to be there and was upset he had another service call after me. 5 Then when he was leaving he said that it might leak again and be sure to check it....huh? Now, I do not mind paying for weekend or emergency service...I understand that cost. But to charge me $164 to connect a garden hose to my hot water heater and drain it on my drive way....give me a break...he went back to his truck and did paper work...on my time. The total bill to replace a $5.00 plastic water spigot with an $12.00 metal water spigot was $438.00. Sorry Berkey, I give service companies one shot and you flunked. You drove into my addition and saw money and took all you could get....yes I could have paid the $69 and said goodbye, but at 8 pm on a Saturday night and no hot water, you knew you had me... I cannot recommend this company...period.

They wanted over $500 for this service. I looked up on redbeacon and the national average for the cost of this is $158. Fail. I paid the $69 service call and he left. He also wanted $209 to replace a $10 inside the tank kit that even I, a busy mom, could do in 1/2 an hour. Fail. I will never call them again for anything.

They cleared blockage of home sewer line, then used camera scope to show me that tree roots were source of blockage. Included in annual plimbing tune-up with Berkeys BAM plan. Received quote to remove roots, but thinking it over. Very professional and courteous plumbers, on time.

I had been having ongoing problems with my HVAC which I couldn't get resolved for like a year. I finally contacted Berkeys and they continued to work on finding the problem and did! It saved me from buying a whole new unit. Will definitely use again.

Today's service went quite well; as they always do. Raoul has worked on our unit before but today we got to meet Rafael for the first time and he did a splendid job with the inspection, installed drain cleaner in the AC drainage pipe and replaced the UV filter. The staff at Berkey's do a wonderful job of tending to the needs of their clients and I highly recommend this agency.

It went great. They came on time with a professional and competent crew. There were some issues with the location of the original water heaters and where they supply water in the house. They made recommendations regarding these issues. Installed the new water heaters in one day with minimal water shut-down. They also recommended increasing the gas pressure, which we did. Everything works alright. I should mention that we used this company more than two dozen times in the past for air-conditioning repair, unit change, plumbing etc. They are not the cheapest in the metroplex. But the quality is excellent. They are timely. The people are professional and nice. What else can you ask for?

My husband and I signed up for Berkey's membership which includes an AC, heat and plumbing tune up. The plumber came in and evaluated every drain and faucet in our house and gave us an estimate for fixing all of it. We only had him fix the water heater because that alone costed more than $200 (The rest of the estimate was $1200 for a few leaky valves, which seemed really high to me). I could tell he was knowledgable because his first guess of what was wrong with the water heater was correct. He did a great job fixing it, and now our water heater works perfectly. My only complaint about the experience was that he didn't explain why the rest of his estimate would cost as much as he quoted me.

Very professional and thorough review of plumbing. Wrote up and explained items needing attention. Cost of repair for hot water heater expensive. Called another plumber for repair.

The service is great and technicians are very professional. They are very timely and even call thirty minutes before their arrival to let you know they are on their way. I have not run into a technician that I have never not been comfortable with. We have always been real impressed with every person who has stepped in our door from Berkeys.

Everything has worked out well with them. Every person they have sent out has been very professional. They get to the service call right away and keep in contact with what is going on and how much it will cost. With being a property owner, they make it very easy to work with the tenants and deal with the responsibility.

The work was fine and they did a good job. They were very easy to make appointments with. They are good about not making us wait and arrive on time.

You know how it goes, a million things going on and no prior issues when a surprise happens with your plumbing at night. We had one toilet on the ground floor back up after flushing and water wouldn't drain. Unfortunately, the kitchen sink was being used and the upstairs toilet was flushed as well. The result was a mess to clean in the bathroom and the bathtub downstairs filling up with waste water. It was raining heavily outside when we called the service we normally used, Rescue Rooter. We were told by Rescue Rooter that they were only responding to emergency calls that evening, ours didn't qualify, but they could see us the next morning. I'm not sure about the rest of you but this did qualify as an emergency in our house and needed to be fixed immediately. Next step, check Angie's list to find someone else and we called Berkeys plumbing. They told us how to relieve the pressure using the outside cleanout on the phone, it worked, and were to our house within 40 minutes with the rain pouring down. Carlos, their technician, was excellent in his service, professionalism and interaction with us. He verified that the problem was with a main line blockage to the street and resolved the issue. To Berkeys and Carlos, our issue was an emergency and they responded as if this was their house that needed care. The end result, they are our provider from now on. I highly recommend this company and Carlos if you are luck enough to get him on your next service call.

These guys are "job based" ripoff artists. DO NOT USE THEM. They wanted almost 600 dollars to replace the innards of a toilet so I paid the "trip fee" since they didn't do any work and told them to get lost. I called another company and they did it for 180.00.

We had a prepaid maintenance contract, but when the first rep came out, he claimed that cleaning out the drain line wasn't covered and it would be $463 to clear it. And it would take about 20 minutes. I found that preposterous so I sent him on his way. I looked up my contract and found that it WAS covered, for FREE. I spoke to the AC Manager (Adam) and he was very helpful, apologized profusely, and thanked me for letting him know about his misinformed employee. He had someone out right away that cleaned out the drain line, no charge, since it was prepaid. Overall it worked out fine, but the first guy needed another day in training. The price he quoted was for INSTALLING a primary drain line, including water sensor, running the pipe, etc, which is at least a half-day job.

They did a fabulous job. I give them all A's and will use them again in the future.

Misrepresented need for removing 2 water heaters and replace with tankless water heaters. When I said I wasn't interested in replacing either water heater [which are still serviceable] he insisted that the tankless versions, he suggested that I needed to purchase a water softener and have a new tankless water heater installed in my attic. He indicated that I needed a $5539 water heater..

They came out and did two check-ups- one for winter and one for summer. They also did a plumbing checkup. Each time, I pretty much waited the entire 4 hour window for them to show up and they always show up during the last 30 minutes of the window (except for one time when I booked the first available appointment for the day- hard to do when you have a job like most normal people). Well today I had my plumbing inspection and they were supposed to be here from 10am-2pm. They called early this morning and left me a voicemail saying they had some earlier openings. I called them back twice so I could get this earlier appointment and there was no answer. After all that, the maintenance guy didn't show up until 2:30. I told him he was late and that I wasn't happy about that and he blamed it on the construction. You know what?? NOT MY PROBLEM. I was here for my 4 hour winder- why weren't you here during your designated time??? I'm pretty ticked off about that. On top of that, they are overpriced. I was told during my first checkup that I need a new p-trap for the air-conditioner. I had just had a p-trap installed (by a different company than Berkey's) in a house I sold less than a year ago, and Berkey's wanted to charge at least $40 more than I paid previously to the other company. Finally, my air conditioner broke on a Friday in July. Yes, it broke, even though I had just had a tune-up with Berkey's and they said everything was working great. I'm not sure if they can predict the type of problem I had though. Anyway, I have a home warranty but I knew it would take a long time for them to send someone to the house for the repair. I decided to call Berkey's on Saturday morning and got a window from 3pm-7pm and it was a $49 charge since I have the BAM plan. Of course they show up at 6:30 pm, and determine the condenser is broken and that it will cost around $3,400. Since the condenser was covered by my home warranty company, I called them instead to install it (and had to only pay a $60 service call fee for that but had to suffer through a few days). The home warranty repairman told me that he only charges around $2,500 for a new condenser. Overall, I guess Berkey's thinks they can charge premium prices since they are based out of Southlake, but its not worth it to me because even though their repair guys are nice, it's just not worth the time and the hassle to mess with them. I'd rather pay the other company I've used previously to just come out and do the tune-ups (like $40 each time) and they only have a 2 hour window for waiting. I won't renew the BAM plan with Berkey's.

We just moved into an eight year old house and one toilet of 4 was running all the time. We decided to have the mechanics of all four toilets changed out to prevent another plumbing call in the future. My husband was told of the $69 trip charge but there was no repair quote. On arrival, we were quoted a price of $228 per toilet...an absolutely obscene amount of money to replace $20 worth of parts in an existing toilet. We were expecting and willing to pay about $200 for all four (the "price" of convenience"). Unreal. We paid the trip charge and sent him on his way.
