It could not have gone better. The house is in Buna and I am trying to get it in shape to put it on the market. I called Gold Crest Electric Co. in Beaumont. I found them on Angie's list. I called Gold Crest on a Tue. afternoon (August 6, I believe). It was 4:30 in the afternoon. I told the girl what I needed done, who I was and where I lived. I asked if they charged for estimates and she said she did not know because she was just the answering service. She told me she would give them the message. Then she realized they had already left for the day at 4:30. I told her the next day would be fine for a call back. I never heard from them.
Late that next day, I found Biskamp located in Silsbee in the phone book. I spoke with Steven who was absolutely fabulous and very patient with me. He told me he could have someone out the next afternoon to look at the job site so he could put together and estimate for me. There was no charge for the estimate.
Dustin showed up the next day with an assistant. He was very professional and it was obvious he was very knowledgeable and knew what he was doing. He covered everything with me thoroughly so I would know what to expect.
Steven got back to me with an estimate that I felt was a fair price. I've had a lot of electrical work done on my house in Dallas; so, I had a general idea of pricing.
The work was scheduled for Monday August 19. I had to get back to Dallas; so, Dustin stopped by the Thursday before the scheduled work and picked up a key to the house.
I called Steven the next day to see how everything went. It appears there were no problems. I told him that I could go ahead and pay him now even though I hadn't seen the work. He sent me an invoice and I mailed a check. I think he was going to let me wait until I got back down there to see the work before I paid; but, I did not want him to wait for the money. I have a very high level of confidence that I will be very pleased with the work. And, if I am not pleased, I have a very high level of confidence that Steven and Dustin will make things right.
