We not only moved outside City limits but also cable and AT&T / Verizon Internet service area. Our only option at that time was satellite Internet service. All the available satellite Internet service provides said they were the fastest so we choose Wildblue.net.
This review is about Wildblue and the 3rd party who did the satalite installation since you cannot have the service without the installation.

Installation service was quick. Tech was efficient and professional.
Internet service by Wildblue:
The monthly service charge is $39.99 a month for basic service . Service seems consistent when weather is fair to good.
Wildblue is now Exede which offers upgrade to faster access. The basic starts at $49.99. Excede has an interesting offer for the night owl (or those that work 2nd shift); customers now get 100% free data usage (both uploads and downloads) from 12 midnight - 5 a.m. every night per customer's time zone.

Talking with others the following "Cons" are typical of satellite service.
Extremely slow access with Wildblue. Do not open more than two web pages at a time; at best takes longer at worse will crash. Bad weather is a factor - can interrupt service. Multiple computers connected (even just 2) slows the connection/access even more.
I've not upgraded to Exede because I found a better option using Verizon 4GB hot spot - same access speed 24/7 anywhere in the house without additional connections/installations. The speed does not degrade if multiple computers connecting or weather is bad.
