Texoma Country Pools & Spas
About us
We are a well established pool construction & pool and spa service center, we offer water testing in the store, and welcome troubleshooting questions regarding equipment and water chemistry with our customers. Our construction fees vary according to the work needed; jobs are bid, then completed per contract. We use licensed subcontractors, with established experience in pool construction. Service fees are $85. After the first hour, they are $85/hour. On site visit or on site troubleshoot is $49.95. If multiple visits are needed, i.e. parts are ordered, the time spent onsite is added together, rather than charging an additional service fee. Our service warranty is 30 days from initial installation. Warranty for the parts is provided by the manufacturer. our pool. We signed a contract on Feb.
5th, they didn't begin construction until March 5th and by Memorial Day we
still didn't have a pool we could swim in.
They were the most difficult contractors to deal with in the entire
construction of our new home, barns and fencing. There were several missed scheduled start
dates, no shows and excuse after excuse.
Their employees were argumentative, unprofessional and not at all interested in pleasing
us or our home builder. In the end, I
realized that although we had plumbing and a heater for our spa, there was no
blower or air intake for therapeutic jets.
We were told (and our contract stated) that the spa would have 6
therapeutic jets and in fact when completed did not. We were told they could add a blower at our
expense. Because this group of people
were so difficult to deal with, I hired another company to install the blower
and to do cleaning and maintenance on our pool.
I certainly do not recommend Texoma Country Pools and Spas!
"While no one is perfect we pride ourselves in going the extra mile and making things right. As with any small business, referrals are a big part of our business. Texoma Country Pools and Spas mission and goal is customer satisfaction. Every pool we design and build are custom and unique to the client's needs. All pools are different and the time from start to finish will vary from pool to pool. There are several factors effecting length of construction. In this particle case there were two that directly affected the length of construction. One was the house was under construction at the same time we were building the pool and the other was weather. Working with home builders is common practice and while it isn't a problem it does draw out the pool construction process. Concerning the weather, the original date to start excavation was 2/12/13. On this date it rained .54". Excavation was rescheduled and while we are on our way to the clients house, the client cancelled because there was rain in the forecast within the next couple of days. The next dig was rescheduled due to pallets of brick, for their house construction, setting in the location where the pool was located. Excavation was completed on 3/5/2013. Pool was plastered and filling with water on 5/6/13. Keeping in mind rain does affect our ability to work, weather history for the date range of 2/5/2013 to 5/27/2012 was 9.94" of rain. As with any custom project there were multiple proposals submitted prior to the signing of the contract. In the last proposal there were items added and removed at the owners request. One of the items removed at the owners request was the air blower for the spa. The proposal clearly states that a blower is needed for elevated spas. We plumbed the spa with an airline for future use in case the owner changed their mind. Obviously the owner changed their mind but felt it should be included at no cost. For all the problems and bad experiences this client had I was never called nor received any complaints. When I asked them why they never called me I was told they didn't know my name. Not knowing my name hasn't stop clients from calling and asking for the manager/owner/person in charge in the past. That is my job and I'm always available for any client who has a question or issue that needs to be address. Don Hicks/General Manager"
