Kevin Adlof stole $86,000 of my insurance money, never finished my house, stole everything that I owned and never gave it back and commits insurance fraud on the regular! Kevin Adlof is the biggest crook on the face of this planet!!! I work my a** off 24/7 still trying to recoup from a house fire in 2020 where the contractor, Kevin Adlof with Duraclean at the time, stole $86,000 of my insurance money and NEVER finished my house, didn't even get a quarter of the way done and the little bit of work that he did was so terrible that I had to have it all redone anyway, and has stolen EVERY single thing I own since birth and refuses to give it back. Every single thing my children owned, every dish, every Appliance, all my furniture, collectibles, antiques, pictures, documents, family Bibles, books, every kid toy, everything! My entire house! He was supposed to be cleaning and storing it and billed my insurance for that as well. I spent almost $7,000 on a civil attorney in Dallas that did absolutely nothing for almost 2 years other than email me back and forth and I still got nothing back unless I could afford to pay him another $10,000 to file a lawsuit. I had to start my ENTIRE life over again and start from SCRATCH to rebuild my house on top of trying to sustain my current bills and three kids. I had to live in a tiny cabin the size of my living room with four dogs, three kids, including my newborn, which I had while he was supposed to be fixing my house and done with before he was born, and my spouse for a year and came back to nothing but a tore up empty house. I still have a title loan out where I had to buy my own flooring, which he had already been paid for but did not lay or give me, I have all my jewelry in pawn just trying to meet basic necessities because he screwed me over so bad it will take me years and years to financially recover. Half my house was "kind of" painted, not finished and mostly just looked like a kindergartener got in there and sprayed Kiltz everywhere over everything, including Crystal Door knobs, windows, hardwood, built-in, China hutches. We still currently all sleep on the floor with mattresses instead of bed frames because my house is still in shambles. I don't have any trim in my house, or door frames. I don't have a pantry, I don't have a laundry room, I don't even have a working kitchen sink, I have to do my dishes that I have bought here and there from garage sales and such in my bathroom sink and bathtub. We've had to buy and install our own counters, pull out all the half built ones and completely rebuild them and put them back together because he installed them over rotten flooring, buy and install our own subflooring, repair all the broken windows the fire department had busted out to put out the fire. I could go on and on FOREVER, but Adlof is a POS and I hope Karma comes back to bite him 10 fold!!!

After surveying the water damage caused by a faulty appliance installation, Kevin explained what would be done. I asked for an estimate to better understand the charges. He failed to provide an estimate, despite my asking for one several times. He then sent a bill asking for payment when the job was not even close to being complete. Debris remained, the hole in the wall had not been repaired, the painting had not been done, and a cabinet that needed to be removed was still in the room. Once everything had been completed, I paid Kevin as his worker was cleaning up and then realized that they had neglected to replace the moulding and facing around one cabinet. His worker stopped cleaning and Kevin promised that he would return the following morning to finish cleaning with a special product and finish the moulding on the cabinet. He did not show up and he has not responded to any of my calls or texts since. It is safe to assume that he will not be finishing up this job. I will never recommend Kevin Adlof and Duraclean because of his lack of transparency in the initial billing, lack of communication throughout the project and his refusal to complete the work satisfactorily.
