"I recently completed a six-month project with NRG Remodeling, and I couldn't be more impressed! The renovation of my 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home, and kitchen went smoothly from start to finish. The communication was top-notch, and the team worked quickly and efficiently, all while maintaining very fair pricing. The quality of the workmanship was outstanding, and the entire experience was stress-free—much smoother than I anticipated. It's rare to find such a professional and personable team, and I’m already planning my next project with them. I would absolutely recommend them for any home renovation and will definitely turn to them for future work!"

"The owner of the company was fabulous! He created a custom design and plans to attach to our current cabin structure. He coordinated tree removal, site prep work and foundation structure. He communicated consistently and made changes to optimize the success of the plan. We did a shop addition and pavilion and are very happy with the end result. Great job to Rei and his team!"

"Mr Hillâ s work was very professional. He was prompt and his prices were very reasonable. He completed lumber framing and metal roofing above my existing shop doors. The overhangs look great and they have held up very well during two storms with extremely high winds. I couldnâ t be more pleased with his work. I will definitely use him again and will recommend him to others."

"Alton and his crew were on time. After getting all of my cameras properly installed and set, he took the time to teach me how to operate the app and how to move the cameras view as well as recording capabilities. He made me feel good about my decision to have camera installed around my home. They work perfectly! I could not be happier."

Awnings questions, answered by experts

Costs range from $1,500 to $5,000, depending on size, material, and design.

Yes, you can convert a fabric awning to a metal one. You just need to swap the fabric for metal panels, which are more durable and weather-resistant. However, the support frame will probably need reinforcement to handle the added weight. You should consult a pro to address any structural concerns.

Yes, most awnings include warranties for materials and installation. Confirm terms before purchasing.

Yes, you can install an awning yourself, and it can be an excellent DIY project with immediate benefits. This is most feasible for smaller, pre-assembled units. However, awnings are often heavy and awkward for one person to handle, so you should always have at least one helper. If you have difficulty lifting heavy objects, professional installation is recommended to ensure proper mounting and durability.

It’s best to keep your awning retracted if winds are 25 miles per hour or more to make sure your awning doesn’t sustain irreparable damage due to wind. Some awnings can take winds up to 30 miles per hour without any damage, but it’s best to consult the manufacturer’s guidance. A good rule of thumb is if it’s too windy for you to comfortably stand outside, it’s time to bring the awning in.
