General Remodeling
The kitchen project went pretty well. However, there were several defective cabinets that needed to be replaced. Those cabinets were on back-order. Remodel Works (Marina) insisted that I pay the remaining project balance minus $500 to cover the damaged doors. I told Marina that this was unreasonable. The project cost $30,000. Asking me to pay most of my final payment when the work was not finalized seems like a really bad way to treat a customer. When I pushed back on this payment, MARINA VILLA THREATENED TO PUT A LIEN ON MY PROPERTY. I made every milestone payment on time except this final payment. The final payment is delayed due to problems on the Remodel Works side, and not based on anything that I did or didn't do. I don't recommend doing business with a company that threatens customers with legal action based on mistakes made by the company (not the customer). Isn't a "final payment" a payment that you make when everything is done? Not according to Marina at RemodelWorks

He did some serious construction and he is phenomenal. We use him for a lot of stuff. I like everything about him. He is fantastic. What I dislike is that he is busy and you have wait for your turn. I already referred him to a bunch of people.
