Boats, Electrical Service
I had Lakewood come look at my Generator on my boat it would run but no AC power. They came down and checked it out and give me a estimate of $1000 to $1900 depending on the problem . I thought that was a bit high but I wanted to get it fixed . It took a month and half. I saw where they had been on the boat the area was trashed with soda cups and litter . I went to talk with them and they told me my bill was $2400 and they couldnt figure out what was wrong ! We settled on $1900 and I was no better off when I started except for a bunch of trash in my boat. I pulled my generator and took it to a guy to work on , he found the problem in a couple of hours and ordered the parts and charged me $800 , I got him to reinstall the generator which was another $1200 . So this this whole thing cost me $3900 when it should have been about $1000.
