I was in need of a home to rent until I'm ready to buy in a year.  I realize that renters aren't realtors favorite folks to assist but I've been told I'm not the "usual renter" as I have great credit, a steady job and it's a technical issue preventing me from buying at this time.  I've owned several homes in the past so have dealt with realtors as a point of reference. 
John started out responsive and helpful but pretty early on, it was difficult to reach him via phone, text or email.  I would've considered him the "average" realtor until I caught him lying about 2 properties I asked him about.  he claimed to have submitted my application but when I contacted the respective realtors, both told me they never received an application and neither were even contacted by John.  I didn't confront him directly about the lie as I still had to work with him but I did let him know politely that neither realtor received my application and neither had ever heard from him.  He brushed both off as "writing the wrong email in when he sent the application".  It was very obvious he had no intention of sending them and never did.  As I had signed an agreement with him, I had to work with him and finished out finding a rental but will NOT use him to purchase a home.  I highly recommend folks to check out various realtors if you're in the market as it seems the sales ethic and responsiveness is a much lower standard for realtors than in other professional sales arenas.
