I was pretty certain that I had a leak in my evaporator coil, which is about a $1500 repair. Mike, the proprietor at Auto Air Clear Lake, put his leak detection equipment on it and determined that the coil wasn't leaking, but merely a valve packing, which he repaired. The entire cost for the tests and the repair was $47. He could have charged me for the evaporator coil repair, which requires removing and replacing the entire dash assembly and I would have never known the difference. to me the two operative qualities to look for in an auto repair service provider are trustworthiness and skill. Mike is exemplary in both.
