Due to a really bad leak, I was sure the power steering pump needed to be replaced on my son's Suburban. I called Michael and he gave me a price for the job over the phone that was very reasonable. When he arrived and took a look at it, he discovered it was really a loose hose (recently replaced at a shop) that was not tightened down properly. He was so honest and didn't try to replace the pump to make it the bigger, more expensive job I thought it would be. He recommended replacing my serpentine and A/C belts, which I knew I needed. Even with the new belts, and my power steering leak fixed, the bill was half of the original phone estimate. I asked him if he recommended anything else and he said everything looked good. No upsell of 'recommendations' that weren't needed. I totally take his word to be his word, he's an honest straight-up guy, very humble and friendly. I'm really glad I came across him and he's definitely my mechanic from now on for all three of our cars !

Mr. Silva was quick to return my call. I was very happy to find that he comes to the location of the car. I was pretty sure that it was the fuel pump but because the repair was so expensive he went through several tests to narrow it down. It did turn out to be the fuel pump. He replaced it and charged less than most places. It runs fine now and I'm super happy to have Silva Automotive in my contact list!

From the first contact to the last, Michael Silva was a true professional. He is sharp, professional and a really good mechanic. Showed up on time and kept in touch via texts. Pricing was more than fair and was done right the first time. I will use him again and would recommend him to anyone who needs a top mechanic, fair prices and prompt service.

Worked on a 2003 Ford Escape that was parked in an Auto Zone lot and belonged to the Assistant Store Manager. Work to be done was replace the alternator which had ceased to function and was destroying a new battery. This company is a Mobile Auto repair service that goes to the customers problem to fix their vehicle. The temperature was around 100 degrees with a very high humidity and the vehicle was sitting in the full sun. Work commenced around 4:00PM and did not end until around 11:00PM. Many components on the underside of the car and engine had to be removed to reach the alternator, including the drive shaft. I imagined that a shift of almost 7 hours to complete the job would create a labor cost of overwhelming proportions. Only charged approximately $216.00 for the job. Took into consideration the owners job situation of much hard work and very low salary for an Assistant Manager. Pointed out other areas that needed work which are necessary to ensure vehicle is safe to drive. Service provided was invaluable and fully worth every dime charged.

From the time I made the call to the time they arrived was outstanding. Since I had the code, he looked it up on whatever system he uses, called me back and confirmed some additional information to insure he got the correct part(s). Mr Silva and his assistant showed up within the hour with the part. Both very professional. Within an hour or so, had the part replaced and car running. His assistant provided a printed reciept and handled the transaction very professionally. Will use them in the future for anything that comes up with my vehicle.

From the phone call to the complete visit, Michael was courteous and professional. My call was answered by his colleague who has a most upbeat, pleasant voice. I described the problem. She asked where I lived and said they would be out within the hour - on Labor Day, no less.
They arrived on schedule. Michael diagnosed my car's problem within minutes. He explained my options. He looked up the part that was malfunctioning to give me an idea of what it would cost to replace. It was expensive and something that wouldn't be able to purchase immediately. Michael offered to manually correct the problem. He said there was no guarantee that this would work for even a day or two, but said he has done the same manually fix on other cars where the fix has lasted for a year.
Michael was thorough in making sure the manual setting would give the car enough rpms to not conk out when stopped but to also not make the car unnecessarily rev. He had me drive the car around the block to make sure it would not conk out. He told me to call him if I have any problems.
This guy is a terrific mechanic and a really nice person. He is upfront about his charge, which is very reasonable. He also made a couple of suggestions about replacing other hoses that looked worn but did not try to pressure a sale. I will be calling him again, not just for repairs but for routine maintenance work.

Michael came out to my residence on a weekend and diagnosed the problem with my truck, saving me a towing fee since it would not start. Most mechanics will not install the parts that you furnish since they want to mark up the parts as well as charge you labor to install them. He then recommended sources for the parts at the best price. I ordered the parts at a great price on the internet and called him to schedule the install. He arrived on time, installed the parts, and the truck is running like new. This truck has not run in 2 years and I expected the cost to get it running to be much greater. He ran all over town getting a few extras that he needed because of some problems that he encountered. The amount that he charged me was probably 25% of what a "shop" would have charged and I did not pay a fee to have the vehicle towed. He was dressed in a uniform, had a great assistant, provided a written receipt, and was extremely professional.
I recommend him highly and will be calling him again in the future.

Found them on Craigslist and they were real fast with text messages. Showed right up and did the job for half what I might have paid others on Angee's list. Multiple mechanics fetched my pads at cost from Autozone and had a pretty girl with them to do the receipt and stuff. Michael Silva was very professional explaining my break situation and what he found during the procedure. Everyone once dressed well and were a pleasure to deal with.
