Lumber Liquidators

Based on previous business with LL in Colorado we chose them for a new hardwood floor in Fall '13. The sales personnel were very helpful in getting us no interest for 6 months financing through GE Credit on both the materials and installation. This was very helpful. The estimator did a good job, the flooring material was good quality (although it was from CHINA) and it was affordable (likely because it was from China). We picked up the flooring and extra materials and took to our house for them to install (this saved us $100 delivery fee). Then the nightmare started. The installation was the WORST workmanship I have ever experienced in 20 yrs of home ownership. When I came home after work to check the installation I found hollow spots in the floor in a main traffic area. Then I found over a dozen more hollow spots caused by not making sure the concrete slab floor was level. I even purchased leveling compound for the installers to use and they failed to use it. I found the transition boards had glue coming out from under and in some spots they were LOOSE. Across the floor, the installers also failed to clean the glue residue from on top of the floor in many places. I had to call the store to get them to send out the installer's supervisor who failed to resolve the problems until I pressed them repeatedly. I had to call the store 6 times to try to get people out to fix the floor. Resolution of the poor installation was only achieved because I didn't want them in my house anymore after over 2 mos. The sales store did refund 10% of my purchase price for the problems I had when I told them I was going to report them to BBB if something wasn't done. (This is why I gave them a "B" for professionalism vs a "D" or "F". If you buy product from them, DO NOT let them install it. I gave them a "D" for quality because of materials, otherwise it would have been an "F".
