The patio cover was excellent. I'd like them to do another project, but they're a little delayed on that.

We tried him a couple of times but he was kind of unreliable. For example, we would set a date or time and it was always one thing, like his truck would break down or he was late running from one of his appointments to another, just things like that. After a month's of work all he had done was install some ceiling fans and a couple of them were not installed correctly. They were making false contact, they were wired incorrectly. He's a nice guy, mind you, but he's not great.
One of them, it wouldn't turn on. The light wouldn't turn off and the fan wouldn't turn on. That was the baby's room so that was kind of a bad thing.
Response from Granny's Guy
"Granny's Guy set a number of appointments with the customer. On a number of occasions (at least 4) I would travel to the location and there would be no one home, or they would be sleeping, etc. I would leave my card on the door and later, after sending an email, i would receive notice wanting me to come out again. A number of trips were made(without charge) to the residence with no one available. Eventually i decided to no longer accept service requests from this customer as this customer resided out of town and the costs were no longer acceptable. As for the initial service, There was one wire contact in the master bedroom that had come loose on the ceiling fan light and was promptly serviced. I was called out to inspect why the ceiling fans in a number of rooms no longer were working and checked each fan. It was determined that the code that allowed the remote controls for these fans to function had been changed to all coordinate with the fan in the son's bedroom. Someone had changed the codes ( resident believed it to be the son). I changed the codes back to their original settings and the fans were all working properly. I submitted a bill for the time to travel to the job, fix the remotes, and test all units. That bill was never paid by the customer."

Mark Kreamer--Granny's Guy stated he would complete our project in 5-6 weeks. We terminated the project at approximately 13 weeks when little progress was being made. He worked on average 8-10 hours a week. Mark did not show, or left the job after working only 1-2 hours, on numerous occasion. We arranged to miss work to be at the house and he would not show. We have email after email of broken promises. His work is substandard at best, even simple items like wall sockets and window installs were not completed properly. Mark stated he would pull city permits, he never did. He left us with a huge mess. Feel free to contact me to see pictures of his work or for additional details. I don't want this to happen to you.
Response from Granny's Guy
"[removed member name] did contract to enclose the patio and to construct a patio cover for the rear of their home. Although the job did indeed take longer than anticipated, the work was completed in a professional and workmanlike manner up to the time the contract was terminated. At no time during the entire process did the customer question the quality of work and the one change the customer did request was an additional design change they agreed was not part of the contract. Granny’s Guy also has complete photos depicting the quality of the work provided. Additionally, [removed member name] was presented invoices for material costs that Granny’s Guy had incurred and he failed to provide full payment in breach of contract. The customer was also responsible for permitting. These factors lead to a mutually agreeable termination of the contract."

I called Mr. Mark actually the night before. We adopted a dog and thought we would be able to install the door ourselves. We were wrong. I left him a message at 10:00 pm on a Thursday night, and he returned my call the following morning. He actually came that night and squeezed us in before he went out with his wife for dinner. He was not only reliable and knowledgeable but a super nice person. He had that door hung in about an hour and half, and did an awesome job! He didn't even charge any extra fee, very reasonable and cleaned up after himself as if he was not even here. Our dog uses that door every day, and it works wonderful. Thanks so much. We are going to use Granny's guy every chance we get!!!!
