Jimbo's Nursery

We invite you to walk through our beautiful gardens and greenhouses and view the great selection of quality tropical and landscaping plants we offer. Our specialty is bromeliads and we stock one of the largest selections of bromeliads you will find anywhere. We grow hundreds of varieties of Neoregelia, Aechmea, Tillandsia, and other rare and unusual specimen and collector bromeliads. We offer a full spectrum of residential and commercial landscaping services. We were established in 1975 and our business began mainly brokering plants. We bought and transported plants from the Rio Grande Valley, selling them to florists and nurseries in southeast Texas. As the cost of fuel increased in the late 1970's, we realized the focus of our business needed to be reevaluated. We were seeing a lot of small independent nurseries (our customers) were disappearing. Our society was evolving into one dependent upon the big box stores for their plant needs. We understood our business needed to be more versatile, yet still competitive. To be more competitive, we needed to grow more of our own products instead of buying and reselling plants. After more than 30 years, Jimbo's Nursery is still thriving. The plants we are growing includes tropical foliage, bromeliads, palms, shrubs and ground covers.
