AIR REPAIR AC HEATING & DUCT

Our home is in the Galveston area, where we have heat and high humidity. The owner and his son analyzed the house and recommended a a two-stage two-zone system, saying the master bedroom could be one zone and the rest of the house another zone. This would allow us to condition the bedroom at night and have the rest of the house 5 degress or so higher. The installers said the master bedroom was too small a space for one zone, so they set up half the house as the second zone. So at night we are conditioning half the house. The owner promised to come out and explain to my wife why we were spending $11,000 on an air conditioner, but he continually deferred and never showed up. The unit is also a heat pump, so it creates condensation on the outside unit during cold weather, which then drains through our deck. The owner said he would find a drip pan to put under it, but he didn't. After installation, no one showed us how to work the system, and no one did a follow up to see if each room is getting the proper amount of air. One room is particularly warm. I believe this company has grown a lot and has won a lot of commercial business. Consequently, their customer relations with consumers is non-existent. The owner and son are extremely bright, have a better handle on the technology than anyone else in the area, but their customer service does not match their knowledge.
