Two electricians showed up, quickly assessed that they needed a longer ladder to reach the fixture. They called for delivery of a ladder and it showed up within about 15 minutes. These folks installed the lighting in our home, so I hesitated to contact them to fix something that seemed not to be installed correctly the first time. However, they got the job done when another (Angie's List Recommended) company would not complete the work. Twice the price but half the time. So glad it's done.

Mr. Turney, the owner, sent his representative to see exactly what we wanted accomplished. The wall with the art work has an arched ceiling. So, I asked what would be the best type of lighting to install because the wall is 12 feet long and the arch rises 18 inches above the ten foot ceiling. We also wanted lighting installed in a closet and our pantry. We had our own fixtures that were left over when we electric fans with lights installed when we purchased the house. For the pantry, one of the fixtures would work. However, the closet had a shelf and only a flat fluorescent light fixture would work so as to be within compliance with existing building codes. The representative suggested we install that as well as some LED adjustable spotlights equally spaced in the arch in our living area. After the representative took the measurements he said that Mr. Turney would figure out the best type lighting for the art work and make a recommendation that would meet our needs. The representative also said that he had worked at the company for a number of years and Mr. Turney was an expert at lighting. Several days later Mr. Turney contacted me. He recommended lighting fixtures and the type of switches needed to allow us to point the spotlights where needed as well as the fixture for the closet. Also he recommended that the spotlight fixtures be mounted flush in the ceiling so as not to be obtrusive to the ceiling and wall. He then sent me a fax with the lighting fixtures, switches and their characteristics. My wife and I were impressed. We ordered the work and the electricians came on the date we specified and were on time. They set about their work with professionalism. They measured the arch and recommended where the switches should be located and then began. It was a difficult job as the electricians had to locate appropriate wiring to tap into as well crawl around in the attic to get things accomplished for the spotlights and the lighting for the pantry and separate closet. They cleaned up the mess they made and checked and rechecked everything. My wife and I are pleased with how it turned out and visitors to our home comment on how pleasing the lighting is for the art work. We can watch the TV, which is about two feet from the wall without any glare from the spotlights. It is really neat. The cost for the electrical service and fixtures was reasonable considering the time and work that was required to complete the job.
