Purchased a 12x14 Tuff Shed during a great sale. We were assured that the shed would be assembled. The salesperson advised us to have our window unit ready for the construction crew. The team arrived and assembled the shed. We provided them with the window unit and indicated where it should be installed. Unfortunately, they cut a hole in the wrong location, making it impossible for the window unit to fit or operate correctly in the opening. Upon contacting Tuff Shed about the issue, they refused to address it, claiming we were responsible because we approved the cut location on the paperwork. However, all paperwork was signed prior to the shed's assembly, and the incorrect cut was made on-site during installation. Tuff Shed has declined to rectify the situation, threatening to void our warranty if we attempt to fix it ourselves. As a result, we had to hire a bonded and insured company to make the necessary repairs, incurring additional costs that should not have been our responsibility.

Everything went well, from the design to the construction. Gary Jaynes @ [email protected] was very helpful & knowledgeable in getting this project started and completed. I couldn't have asked for better support.

The installers did a fair job, but I noticed some flaws the day after the installation. 1. Seven shingles were puckered due to laying on nails not driven fully in lower courses. I fixed the problem. 2. One gable end trim piece was about 1/8" high, causing shingles at end of building to curl up slightly. This is a visible flaw which cannot be remedied. 3. Though some nails were properly driven slightly sunk, many of them were flush or proud of the surface. I drove the proud nails flush. 4. All nails were bright metal instead of galvanized. I consider that a major design flaw. I had to put metal primer on all nail heads to prevent future rust bleeding. 5. Most of the nails used to secure the vertical trim pieces at the wall junctures were driven into the wall sheathing and not the corner studs. That'll probably be OK, but not as secure. I did like the fact that the building sits on a galvanized steel base with several runners to support the floor, and the door is strong, wide and tall. The installers were very efficient, completing the job in just under four hours, and they left no mess. I found only one nail in the lawn after the job was completed.

They arrived on time, started building the shed, the frame was up in one day, they returned the next day, finished building it, then it took two days to paint in, they did a very good job. They also cleaned up anything that they might have messed up.!!!!

We were tired of our cars atrophying under the Texas sun so we decided to build a garage. We looked into having an attached garage custom built, but the contractors were quoting prices around $100,000. A friend recommended a prefab tuff detached garage from tuff shed, so we contacted tuff shed. We selected a detached garage, chose our trims, the colors, the windows and thought it would be as easy as that. Unfortunately, city zoning would not permit the garage we had chosen. Our customer service rep, Michael Spears, said tuff shed could customize and build an attached garage for us. Well, the price was just about a fraction of what we would have paid for a custom job, and so we decided to go with tuff shed. We had several hurdles along the way (The city couldn't figure out the proper zoning code, among other hiccups). All in all, our project ran about 2 months behind schedule. However, I would recommend tuff shed without hesitation simply because of Michael and his incredible customer service. He called when he said he would call. He came by the job site, sometimes even on his day off just to make sure things were going according to schedule. He followed up, was courteous, and professional throughout the delayed project. He was highly focused on customer service and satisfaction. Michael was excellent, and therefore, he made our experience with Tuff Shed excellent. I highly recommend working with Michael Spears and Tuff Shed.

I went ahead and had a concrete slab put in as foundation, and glad I did. Gary was very helpful and accommodating throughout this process. It was helpful to go out to the show area and walk around inside several sample sheds at their store. Gary made a one time visit to my home to help orient and plan for the shed, on site. The installation crew was excellent and they handled special situations with professionalism. I'm very pleased with the quality of the shed... very sturdy construction using white-wood 2 X 4 studs. The wall panel material uses a heat barrier to keep the interior cooler. The outside of the walls are pre-primed for paint and can easily be self-painted with a roller. I'm especially happy with the roof of the shed which has premium shingles that almost exactly match our house shingles. The door is nice and heavy with high-quality hardware. Highly recommend this Tuff Shed dealer and their sheds.

Everything turned out well. They arrived on time, completed the work on schedule, and did quality work for a reasonable price. They also cleaned up after themselves which I appreciated.

They had all kinds of styles and varieties. There was leeway for styles, quality and how much we wanted to pay. We could either pay a lot of money or a reasonable amount of money. When they made the appointment to put it up, they came and put it up when they were supposed to. They finished it up. They put this surfacing on that looks like siding, we found a defect in one of the boards. We called them and they repaired it. They did not charge us extra. They were very prompt and it looks like a little house. It has a porch, windows and planter boxes. I found them on Angie's List. I would use them again.

My husband wanted a larger storage shed. He went to several places and finally decided on Tuff Shed through Home Depot. Installed on day promised. No problems with installation. Only thing was that my husband had to have them come back because nails in roof did not hit studs. Workmen came back in timely manner and made corrections. Very satisfied.

Gary James is the representative who helped me. He helped me get the building permit and the paperwork. He was very supportive. The people were really nice and asked me how exactly I wanted things done. They seemed to want to give me the exact product that I wanted. They pleased me by giving the best service they could. They were very honest and their prices may have been a little higher than others but I got what I paid for.

I was looking to build a pottery studio. I researched a variety of sheds and, on the recommendation of my daughter, looked into Tuff Shed. I visited TUFF SHED, Inc. #200 at 6012 Zangs Dr. San Antonio, TX 78238. From the time I walked into the office and visited with the sales rep through the project itself I knew I was working with quality professionals. Two young men and all the materials for the studio arrived early on construction day. They kept at it all day without taking a break for dinner. They finished about 8:30. They did a very excellent and professional job. As in most projects of this kind, there was a mix up in some communications. The people at Tuff Shed took care of the issues without any problems and cleared everything up. I highly recommend Tuff Shed #200. They take pride in their work and it shows in the finished product and in the people they hire to do the work. I now have the pottery studio I dreamed of.

Salesman missed 1st appointment due an ermergency; explanation was satisfactory. Salesman was knowledgeable of product and very helpful in explaining options, etc. Estimate and contact for work process was accomplished quickly, Work was scheduled for the following week, On the day the work was scheduled it was raining and company called to see if we wanted to proceed with the install that day or reschedule; we requested that it be delayed and it was rescheduled for 2 days later. Workers arrived on time, completed work professionally, and finished the same day. Only problem was related to the amount of slope in our yard which required that the installers would have to do some leveling using concrete blocks, Salesman had estimated that slope was 8-10 inches and it actually turned out to be 18 inches. Installers wre able to level the shed and it appears to be sturdy but it probably would have been better to accomplish some landscaping prior to the install.

They don't have lean-to sheds on display at their Zangs Drive location, but I asked and they showed me a catalog of all their designs that included the lean-to. I wanted the roof slant reversed and that was no problem for them. The shed was pre-built in sections, then delivered and completed on site and painted. The guys who did the installation were punctual and courteous, and they finished the job in about three hours. I had lots of suggestions from friends and family about what else was needed, but the best suggestion was to purchase a sheet vinyl remnant and have it installed to cover the plywood floor. I think Tuff Shed could have done the flooring, but I suspect it was cheaper to use the remnant. One thing I learned in the process was that the sheds on display at Lowe's, Home Depot, etc., are usually built by Tuff Shed.

I am satisfied with the shed. Not to be critical, but I wish they used email for communication because we had a bit of phone tag. The men who actually built the shed were punctual, professional, and careful. I was home while they were working and the checked with me on a few details before proceeding.

Had a Tuff Shed built in my yard just about seven years ago. Noticed the bottom piece of the door was starting to come apart and realized it was still in warranty for the next couple of months. Called and within 24 hours of speaking to the person who handles warranty problems a workman came and fixed the problem, including repainting the framework on the door.
