A former colleague highly recommended Top Notch Arbor Care to me several years ago but I didn't get around to contacting the owner, Chris Lyons, until several weeks ago. From the very beginning, I was impressed by his knowledge, professionalism, and fair pricing for a big, two-day job. He loves his trees and respects them. I had a juvenile oak tree that I was very reluctant to trim, but he walked me through the process, and he did a beautiful job. His attention to detail is phenomenal. He and his team did an outstanding trim job on my other old oak trees and they haven't looked this good in fifteen years. Sealing limbs is SOP, too. Whether trimming trees and maintaining their health and aesthetic beauty, caring for heat stressed shrubs, cleaning up old and new debris, or inspecting and cleaning any residue that fell on the roof and gutter, he is incredibly efficient and careful. His workers showed the same level of hard work, care and pride in a job well done (the boss sets the example). Thank you, Chris, for a job very well done! I am one very, very happy customer! Top Notch exceeded all expectations I had going into my recent project.  I've never dealt with a more professional contractor.  They showed up exactly when they said they would and kept me in the loop throughout the process.  I was not home during the job and received photo updates of the progress.  This wasn't an easy job as a lot of rock had to be removed.  Chris went above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction before he would leave the job.  I would highly recommend Top Notch for any outdoor project.

The project went well.  Provider (Christopher Lyons) had given me a free detailed written estimate after initial contact on Angies list.  He was one of three providers I had bid on the work.   I called after a day or two to accept the estimate and was given a date for accomplishment.  
Provider called ahead that day, showed up on time, and with one helper started work promptly.  The work was finished including cleanup after about 8 hours. Provider gave me an opportunity for input during the process, which was great to be sure I was satisfied at the end. The quality of the work was good and they didn't scuff up or mar the trees like some trimmers do.  Additionally, I was satisfied that the provider was knowledgeable about specialized live oak tree trimming requirements.  
Provider was very professional throughout the process, and I will keep him in mind for future work and referrals.

Chris is a great contact for all your lawn and landscaping needs. It was time for our fall brush pickup, so I gave him a call. He came by, gave me an estimate, pointed out some things that I had missed that I needed to do, and we scheduled an appointment for the work. He showed up on time, and did a great job on the work. My wife is picky, so he made sure to ask her to come out and as usual, she had a couple more requests. I would recommend Top Notch Arbor Care and Chris to anyone that needs landscaping work.  

It turned out better then I expected.  The owner Chris did the estimate himself and did the work himself.  My yard has never looked this good.  He also gave me some other ideas that I will be using in the future.  I will use him every year or for any other tree and yard work that I have.  The work was also done in a timely manner.

Chris is great at what he does because he cares about the lawns, plants, and trees that he is working on.   He is very professional, will listen to what you want, but will also make suggestions that will make your plants look better and live longer.   He may not be the cheapest service in the area, but he is the best.   I used the cheap er ones before and almost lost my hedges.   With Chris, I don't have that worry.

My yard and trees were beyond what I could begin to do myself.  I had several landscapers out & all looked at the job & made it seem overwhelming & couldn't start the job for weeks.  I contacted Chris Lyons with Top Notch Arbor Care.  He came out with a  "can do" attitude and had the knowledge & crew to do the job.  They started within days of us doing our agreement.  They worked & did a beautiful job.  Chris has followed up on the job & has consented to do weekly care on my lawn.  What a wonderful blessing to go home & be proud of my yard and be able to enjoy being outside now.  I plan to use Top Notch in my business property & my rental properties. I couldn't be happier with the results.
