TONY RIOS

My experience with him went well. He does good work and I've used him before. I'm satisfied with his work and I'd use him again. He got tied up on another job so I will give him a B for punctuality instead of an A.

I had a recently completed re-model project that consisted of closing off an unused doorway and constructing a butler's pantry on one side and a built-in desk with upper cabinets on the other side. I wanted to tile the backsplashes on both sides as well as the wall below the desk to the floor. I called Lone Star State Construction after reading its reviews on Angie's List to get an estimate. When I described the project to the service representative, she suggested (because it was a small job) that I call their tile professional directly (to save money) and referred me to Tony. I contacted him and scheduled an appointment for an estimate the next day. He arrived promptly for the appointment, was pleasant, courteous and professional and provided an estimate which I accepted. We set up an appointment for the following day and he told me how much tile and grout I would need to purchase for the job. He arrived on time the next day along with Ysidro Garza, who did the work. Sid was pleasant and professional and did a wonderful job. Although Tony had told me Sid would set the tile on the first day and then return the second day to complete the grouting, Sid said he could complete the entire job in one day - and he did. It took him approximately 3 1/2 hours to set the tile. Then he left for approximately 1 1/2 hours while the adhesive dried. When he returned, he completed the grouting in approximately 1 hour. I had recently also had a granite windowsill installed on which the contractor did a poor job on the caulking and failed to return to repair it. Sid re-caulked it for me at no additional charge and did a beautiful job. He completely cleaned up all the work areas when he was finished and I am extremely happy with the results. Tony and Sid are fantastic professionals and I will use them for any future tile work that I have as well as recommend them to my friends and family. Excellent and skilled craftsmanship!

He does high quality work. He finishes the work on time. He cleans up the entire mess created. He communicates well throughout the process. He always checks in to see if everything is going well. He always answers when I call. He is great. I would recommend him to others.

Tony and his crew were excellent! They arrived each day right on schedule. I was pleasantly surprised at the time they spent cleaning and preparing the area prior to laying the tile. The tile was a difficult pattern with four different sizes of tile. It was arranged perfectly and the work was completed as scheduled. The grout was nicely done and sealed after it had dried. The work area was cleaned up at the end of the day and we were totally satisfied with their work!
