Great. Very professional, quick and surprisingly in expensive ($140 total including diagnostic-applied to fee. Included part). Recommended by another Angies list company that preferred to do software only. Surprised there are no reviews given how long they have been around (I looked at office super stores and other computer retail stores but just to look at it was $80 plus then labor and part).

I tripped over my Sony Vaio laptop power cord and ripped it out of the power jack. I had the cord held in with electrical tape. I called several places and was told by all it would be too expensive to fix, the laptop is older so not worth it etc. A coworker recommended that I give the Laptop Specialists a call and boy I'm glad I did! Dave and Jacob took great care of me. My laptop is good as new with a new power jack and I am very happy!

After the first week and not so much as a call, I contacted them to be told that they were running hardware diagnostics. I asked why they were running diagnostics because it was a known problem and the tech told me he would call me back in an hour or two. After two days I call back and am apologized to and told that they had a customer mix up. Now two weeks and I still have no computer and not so much as a telephone call as to why.
Update follow-up: While I did not have a pleasant experience as far as the time it took to repair my laptop, I have to say that Dave followed up and started to communicate with me. He advised that they were having a busier then expected time and that there were problems with getting a part from the manufacturer. I give Dave credit He did follow-up even after I got my machine home and was very professional. I hope my initial encounter was a fluke and a one time deal. I would give them my business again despite the confusion.
