The Granite Co

The owner is a friendly person and good salesman, but unfortunately, nothing else was good to report.   They arrived for appointments chronically early or late.  The day of the work, they showed up late to remove the old countertop.  The new countertop installers were scheduled to arrive shortly and because of that one of his hot-headed, cursing workers damaged the walls with his crow bar while tearing off the old counter and back-splash trying to speed things up.  This guy was also the tiling "expert" who did the back-splash work.  Because he only had half the spacers he needed, he tried to "eyeball" the spacing on the other half of the gaps between tiles.  Anyways, it looked awful, and I had to go back after they left and straighten them out as best I could by tapping them with a screw driver before the grout fully dried.  He also complained more than once that I didn't have enough grout; however, he was wrong.  The granite installers also busted the chair molding on the wall while they were forcing the new counter-top in place.  Anyways, the owner and his crew knew about the damage and tried to act like nothing was out of place or wrong.  Perhaps this is normal for them.  They could not leave fast enough for us.   Additional Information:  I overhead them complaining about another customer who kept calling them about some type of problem with their work.  I noticed a couple of other reviews on Yahoo which are also negative (no positive ones).  I also noticed their Website was taken down.  Perhaps they are working under a different name now.
